About Iru
Iru is the AI-powered security & IT platform used by the world’s fastest-growing companies to secure their users, apps, and devices. Built for the AI era, Iru unifies identity & access, endpoint security & management, and compliance automation—collapsing the stack and giving IT & security time and control back.
Iru is backed by some of the smartest investors in tech—General Catalyst, Tiger Global, Felicis, Greycroft, and First Round Capital. In July 2024, Iru raised $100 million from General Catalyst, valuing the company at $850 million. Customers include Cursor, Vercel, Bumble, Plaid, Glean, Apollo, Replit, and Mercor, and Iru partners with industry leaders such as ServiceNow and AWS. Iru was named to Forbes’ America’s Best Startup Employers 2025 list for employee engagement and satisfaction.

The Opportunity

We're hiring a Senior Manager, GTM Engineering to lead the team that builds the systems, data, and AI tooling Iru's revenue engine runs on. That covers how leads are routed and worked, how deals are quoted and closed, how partners and MSPs do business with us, how the field gets time back through automation and AI, and how every signed contract becomes an accurate subscription in Stripe. Our team owns quote to subscription end to end. You'll report to the Head of GTM Operations & Engineering and lead a small team of GTM engineers.

Iru ships product at a pace most companies our size don't attempt: new products, new pricing and packaging, and new partner motions, often in the same quarter. GTM has to keep up without giving up accuracy, because the systems you'll own carry real money and the numbers Finance, Sales, and leadership run the business on. Your job is to make GTM move at product speed and get it right.

This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll manage and grow engineers, and you'll carry projects yourself, because that's how leaders work here. We're looking for an engineer first who has spent real time inside business systems: someone who has built on CRM, CPQ, and billing platforms through their APIs, with the same code review, testing, and release discipline they'd apply to a product. Candidates go through the same technical interviews as our senior R&D engineers.

How You Will Make a Difference Day to Day

  • Revenue Systems: Own quote to subscription across CPQ, HubSpot, and Stripe, so what a customer signs is exactly what they're billed. Turn new pricing, packaging, promotions, credits, and partner terms into working systems quickly and correctly. Build the deal flows for Sales, Customer Success, Partners and MSPs, and own the data that bookings and commissions depend on.
  • GTM Platform & Data: Own HubSpot's architecture: the data model, routing, integrations, and data quality every GTM team relies on. Keep metric calculations in code, reviewed and versioned, so the numbers mean the same thing everywhere they appear.
  • Automation & AI: Build agents, workflows, and internal applications that give time back to Sales, Customer Success, Sales Development, and GTM Operations. Put AI where it earns its place, with evals and a human in the loop wherever money or judgment is involved. Build with the people who will use it, and measure adoption, not launches.
  • Engineering Standards: Set and hold the bar for how GTM builds: code review, testing, CI, change control, security, monitoring, and documentation across everything the team runs. Make the build-versus-buy calls, and keep the stack lean.
  • Team Leadership: Hire, coach, and grow GTM engineers. Run a team that ships fast and safely, with clear priorities, clean handoffs, and engineers who get better every quarter.
  • Hands-on Delivery: Carry real projects yourself, from design through production support. You'll know the systems because you build them.
  • Cross-functional Partnership: Work closely with Finance, R&D, GTM Operations, and Deal Desk. Agree in writing on how systems connect and who owns what, so issues are caught upstream rather than at month end.
  • Example Projects You'll Own

  • Launch a new pricing or partner construct end to end, from the quote template to an invoice-ready subscription in Stripe
  • Build a daily reconciliation across contracts, HubSpot, and Stripe that catches variances before they reach Finance
  • Ship an AI agent that removes a manual step from the sales or renewal cycle and becomes part of how the team works
  • Rebuild lead and account routing so the right rep gets the right account at the right time, and the field trusts it
  • Stand up the GTM systems for a new product launch: catalog, quoting, CRM, and reporting
  • Put one engineering standard in place across every GTM repository: review, tests, deployment, and monitoring
  • What You'll Bring

  • 8+ years building production software, including 2+ years leading engineers as a manager or tech lead
  • Business systems experience from the inside. You've built on and integrated CRM, CPQ, and billing platforms, and you know how they fit together from quote to cash. HubSpot is preferred; Salesforce experience translates
  • You've managed and deployed secure production applications: environments, secrets, access control, logging and monitoring, backups, and rollbacks. You've been on the hook when something broke.
  • Stripe experience, ideally Stripe Billing: subscriptions, schedules, prices, invoices, and how they behave when a contract changes mid-term. Deep experience with a comparable billing platform also works
  • The fundamentals that matter when money moves: API integrations, idempotent writes, data that reconciles, audit trails, and releases you can roll back
  • Strong Python and SQL. You build with AI coding tools by default, and you've shipped systems that use models in production
  • Business literacy: you understand ARR, bookings versus billings versus revenue, contract terms, and how deals actually close
  • A track record of hiring and developing engineers and raising a team's engineering standards
  • The judgment to move fast without breaking the things that matter, and to know which is which
  • Clear communication with Finance, Sales, and R&D, in their language rather than yours
  • Nice to Have

  • TypeScript or Node, and experience building internal applications
  • Data warehouse and dbt experience
  • Familiarity with revenue recognition (ASC 606) and sales tax engines
  • Partner, channel, or MSP billing models
  • DealHub or another CPQ platform
  • Experience in IT, security, or device management SaaS
  • What Success Looks Like

  • GTM launches new products, pricing, and partner terms at the pace Product ships them
  • What customers sign is what they're billed, and Finance trusts the numbers
  • Sales, Customer Success, and Sales Development spend less time on manual work and more time with customers
  • The team ships more each quarter with fewer incidents, and every system it runs has an owner, monitoring, and documentation
  • Engineers on the team are growing, and strong engineers want to join it
  • What This Role Is Not

  • Not CRM administration. You'll own HubSpot's architecture, not a ticket queue
  • Not outbound or growth engineering alone. Pipeline tooling is part of the job, not all of it
  • Not billing operations or accounting. Finance owns collections, revenue recognition, and the close; you own the systems that feed them accurate data
  • Not a hands-off management seat. You'll write code and carry projects
  • Our Stack

HubSpot, DealHub, Stripe, Hyphenate, Python, Node, Postgres, Heroku, AWS, and GitHub, with Snowflake and Hex for data and Claude Code for AI. If you've done this work on a different cloud or CRM, the tools are different but the job is the same.
