Senior Manager, Infrastructure
Superior Group of Companies (SGC) · Fully Remote (or St. Petersburg, FL) · Full-Time
Superior Group of Companies (NASDAQ: SGC) is looking for a Senior Manager, Infrastructure to lead our enterprise infrastructure function — the technology backbone behind SGC Corporate, Superior (Healthcare Apparel), BAMKO, and TOG. If you came up through the network ranks — administrator, engineer, manager — and you're ready to own all of infrastructure and grow into broader IT leadership, this role was built for you.
The Opportunity
This is a succession-track hire, not a peer-level backfill. You'll report directly to our Chief Information Officer, own network, compute, storage, data protection, IT operations, end user services, M365 collaboration, and business continuity/disaster recovery, and lead a globally distributed team across the US, India, and Vietnam.
We're deliberately hiring at the manager / senior manager level and investing in your growth toward a Director role — and over a three- to four-year horizon, positioning you as a strong candidate for broader enterprise IT leadership. Along the way, you'll get structured exposure to business applications, project management, and business-facing IT leadership.
What You'll Own
- Networking & Voice: the SGC network estate — firewalls, switching, routing, wireless, WAN/SD-WAN, and voice — across a mixed environment (SonicWall, Palo Alto, Ubiquiti)
- Data Center & IT Operations: compute and storage (HPE, Lenovo, Dell PowerStore, HPE Nimble/SAN, AWS S3/Google Drive integrations), enterprise backup (Veeam, Datto, AWS S3), 24×7 monitoring, patching, and change execution
- Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery: RTO/RPO definition, recovery testing, and capacity planning across on-prem and colocation environments
- End User Services: IT Service Desk and ITSM (FreshService), endpoint management (NinjaOne), and Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams)
- Team Leadership: coach, develop, and retain a globally distributed infrastructure team, building bench strength and growing your people's careers
What We're Looking For
- A career grounded in networking: network administrator → network engineer → network/infrastructure manager (or a comparable path)
- 8+ years of progressive infrastructure experience, including 4–5 years managing infrastructure teams
- Deep hands-on expertise in switching, firewalls, routing, wireless, SD-WAN, and voice
- Solid experience across data center operations: servers, storage, virtualization, backup/recovery
- Proven team leadership — you've built, developed, and rallied a team to exceed expectations
- Exceptional influence skills: you drive recommendations through expertise and trust, not positional authority
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field — or equivalent hands-on experience
Nice to Have
- Managed Service Provider (MSP) background — managing teams that supported multiple client environments
- Microsoft end user technology, email, and collaboration platform experience
- Networking certifications (CCNA/CCNP, PCNSE) and/or ITIL Foundation
- Experience in publicly traded, SOX-regulated environments
- Experience supporting manufacturing or warehouse/distribution operations
- Experience managing or working with offshore/distributed teams
Details
- Location: St. Petersburg, FL or any approved remote state · Fully Remote workplace type
- Travel: Occasional (~15–20%)
- Position Type: Full-Time, Exempt (Salary)
- Reports to: Chief Information Officer
