JOB SUMMARY The Global People Operations Senior Manager is a strategic and operational leadership role responsible for helping build, scale, and run the core People Operations programs that support Schellman’s global, growing workforce. Reporting to the Director of People Experience this role owns the operational backbone of the employee lifecycle—from new hire administration through offboarding—while ensuring consistent, compliant, and high-quality service delivery across all the regions in which Schellman operates. This individual will lead a team of People Operations professionals and partner closely with all of Schellman’s Corporate Functions and Delivery business leaders. This role will be expected to partner with the Manager of People Technology to drive systems and processes efficiency as well as partnering with the Director of People Experience on managing vendor relationships needed to support Schellman’s global expansion. The ideal candidate combines deep HR operations expertise, strong process discipline, employment law, and the judgment to navigate multi-country compliance requirements while keeping the employee experience at the center of every decision. Essential Functions: Global People Processes Partner with the Director of People Experience to grow and scale People Operations processes for the end to end employee life cycle —including new hire administration, offboarding, leaves of absence, accommodations, benefits, compensation, policies, performance reviews, employee relations escalation paths, payroll, compliance and employee records—across a growing global workforce. Design and implement standardized, repeatable global processes that increase consistency, compliance, and efficiency across regions while allowing for necessary local flexibility. Partner with People leadership to align People Operations priorities with broader talent and business objectives, and represent the function in cross-functional planning. Lead with partnership from Talent Management on compensation structure, compensation program to include market review, annual merit process, bonus payout and all other related administration. Overviews see help desk management and ticket escalations HR Systems, Data & Process Optimization Oversee end-to-end employee lifecycle processes ensuring timely, accurate, and consistent execution across all countries in which Schellman operates. Partner with the Manger of People Technology to optimization all People Technology tools as it pertains to the full life cycle of Global employees. Own and manage calendar for People and Talent to include payroll calendar, office closures/holidays, compliance trainings, independence surveys, performance reviews, talent calibrations, merit/promotion, bonus payout, etc. Compliance & Risk Management Maintain a working knowledge of employment law and regulatory requirements across all jurisdictions in which Schellman operates, and ensure People Operations practices remain compliant. Partner with Legal to manage risk related to leaves, accommodations, terminations, and other sensitive employee matters. Prepare and present operational and compliance metrics to People leadership, identifying trends and recommending corrective action where needed. Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Partnership Lead, coach, and develop a team of People Operations professionals, building capability and promoting consistent practices across regions. Serve as a key partner to Talent Acquisition, People Technology, LEAD, Talent Management and business leaders to ensure a seamless, end-to-end employee experience. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong global HR foundation, including knowledge of employment law and compliance across multiple jurisdictions. Deep expertise in HR operations, HRIS platforms (Workday), and process design within a growing, global organization. Strategic, data-driven operator with strong analytical skills and the judgment to translate insight into effective operational execution. Proven ability to scale HR processes, systems, and teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and cross-functional partnership skills. Strong people leadership skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams and a high degree of discretion when handling sensitive, confidential employee information. Education, Work Experience and Certifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified At least 8 years of progressive HR or People Operations experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role managing distributed teams and owning global processes across multiple regions. Experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday,) and other global partners; PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
