Summary
We are looking for an experienced pricing operations professional to keep pricing processes accurate, efficient and consistent across our Portable Metrology division. You will work hands-on with our CPQ and CRM tools, maintain pricing data and approval workflows, support Sales with quotes and deal questions, and provide clear reporting on pricing activity.
You will partner day to day with Sales, Finance, Product and regional teams to make sure approved pricing is set up correctly and used consistently. The role focuses on reliable execution, practical problem-solving and continuous improvement of pricing operations.
Job Responsibilities
Pricing Administration and Controls
- Maintain price lists, product pricing, discount structures and customer-specific pricing in Oracle CPQ, covering regions, channels and global accounts.
- Maintain pricing rules, quote templates, approval workflows and documentation so quotes follow agreed policies and reach the right approvers.
- Check pricing and discount requests for completeness and policy alignment; coordinate approvals and help resolve exceptions promptly.
- Monitor pricing data quality and quote process controls, investigate discrepancies and follow through on corrections.
- Coordinate pricing updates for new products, portfolio changes and market launches with Product, Finance and regional teams.
Quote and Deal Support
- Provide day-to-day support to Sales on quote creation, pricing configuration, discount requests and deal structure questions.
- Help resolve quote and CPQ issues, escalating complex or out-of-policy requests to the appropriate approvers.
- Track open pricing questions and approval requests to support timely, accurate quote generation.
- Work with Sales and Finance to identify recurring deal or process issues and put practical fixes in place.
Reporting and Sales Enablement
- Prepare regular reports on quote activity, discounts, approvals and pricing exceptions; explain trends and flag data or process issues.
- Maintain user guidance, process documentation and training materials for pricing and CPQ workflows.
- Deliver practical training and act as a first point of contact for routine questions from Sales and other CPQ users.
- Support users through system or process changes and gather feedback to improve day-to-day usability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or a related field; a Master’s degree is an advantage.
- Several years of hands-on experience in pricing operations, deal desk, sales operations or a related commercial operations role.
- Practical experience with Oracle CPQ and Salesforce, including maintaining pricing data, discount rules, quote workflows or related processes.
- Strong Excel and reporting skills, with the ability to analyse quote, discount and pricing data accurately.
- Clear communication skills and confidence supporting and training Sales and cross-functional users.
- Ability to coordinate pricing approvals and work effectively with Sales, Finance, Product and regional teams.
- Strong attention to detail and a disciplined approach to data quality and process compliance.
- A practical problem-solving approach and interest in improving operational processes.
- Understanding of pricing, discounting, revenue and margin concepts.
- Ability to manage competing requests independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
Why join us?
You will help our Portable Metrology teams apply pricing accurately and consistently across markets. Working closely with colleagues in Sales, Finance and Product, you will see how pricing decisions move through the quote-to-cash process and help make those processes easier to use and more reliable.
