We have an opportunity for a Senior Manager, SAP S4HANA Delivery, to join our Golden Valley, MN team. You will oversee technical solution design, build, integration, testing, and deployment delivery within a portfolio of SAP S/4HANA transformation work. The Sr. Manger, SAP S/4HANA is accountable for end-to-end project delivery, ensuring requirements are understood, deliverables are prioritized, dependencies are managed, and risks, issues, and impediments are resolved in a timely manner. The role establishes a collaborative delivery environment that enables team engagement, performance excellence, and cross-functional decision-making across technology, data, release management, deployment, and business workstreams.

This role requires a minimum of three days per week onsite in Golden Valley, MN, with up to 20% travel to support business needs.

You will:

  • Lead end-of-end delivery across design, build, integrate and test, and deployment phases to ensure requirements and program commitments are met.
  • Partner with SAP S/4 HANA workstreams, system integrator partners, and business leaders to accelerate business process transformation. Ensure that industry leading practices are incorporated into solution and process design.
  • Prioritize phase deliverables, review build plans, and facilitate cross-functional decisions with functional, technical, and partner teams.
  • Review program risks, issues, escalations, and critical delivery impediments, and drive timely mitigation or resolution through the governance model.
  • Hold Process Owners accountable for maintaining consistent global processes, resolving cross-functional design decisions, and incorporating lessons learned from each deployment into the global template and future rollout approach.
  • Ensure that SAP and industry leading practices are incorporated into solution and process design.
  • Govern the global template to maintain standardization, minimize unnecessary customization and local variation. Ensure that any exceptions are supported by a compelling business case.
  • Work collaboratively with the business stakeholders to support their readiness across operations, customer service, and finance. Support site leaders on achieving post-go-live operations and business performance targets.
  • Ensuring alignment between SAP roadmap priorities and evolving business needs, including acquisitions and integration activities. Manage overlapping design, build, testing, and deployment cycles.
  • Create internal S/4 HANA deployment capability.
  • Create a collaborative, accountability-driven delivery culture across internal teams, external partners, and business stakeholders.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior business and IT leaders regarding delivery decisions and transformation priorities.
  • Influence cross-functional stakeholders to drive adoption of standardized business processes.
  • Lead through ambiguity while balancing scope, timeline, budget, and business outcomes, contribute to practical, risk-informed delivery decisions.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution, manage difficult delivery conversations, and drive alignment where scope, funding, timeline, or business justification decisions are required.
  • Communicate clearly with senior leaders and cross-functional teams on delivery status, risks, decisions, and required tradeoffs.
  • Promote continuous improvement in delivery practices, project controls, readiness, and operational handoff.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% as required to support business objectives.
  • 15+ years of progressive IT, business analyst, program delivery, or technology transformation experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading SAP S/4HANA transformation delivery, including design, build, testing, deployment, and stabilization phases.
  • Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA system architecture, data migration, integration, release management, and delivery methodology concepts.
  • Experience managing complex cross-functional delivery plans, dependencies, deliverables, risks, issues, escalations, and stakeholder decisions.
  • Proven ability to work across business, technology, data, deployment, and external partner teams in a global enterprise environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to break complex problems into manageable options and actions.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, executive communication, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA transformation programs in a global manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with SAP Activate or similar S/4 delivery methodologies and project management tools.
  • Experience working with system integrators, managed service partners, and distributed delivery teams.
  • Experience supporting user readiness, deployment planning, training coordination, production support transition, and post-go-live continuous improvement.
  • Understanding of integration, testing, data migration, reporting, and technical cutover dependencies in SAP programs.

Compensation:

For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $128500- $238600 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs. This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as, annual incentive bonus.
