Overview
Our Strategic Finance team is looking for a Senior Manager to lead financial planning, forecasting, and performance management for our self-serve (consumer) business. You'll go beyond the numbers to understand what drives them: analyzing user behavior, cohort dynamics, and product and market trends across all of our products, identifying growth opportunities, and helping leaders make informed investment decisions.
You'll be the primary finance partner to Growth alongside Product, Data, BUs, and Finance to evaluate performance and new opportunities. You'll assess how product and go-to-market decisions, including feature launches and marketing, forecast acquisition, conversion, retention trends, and ultimately ARR and revenue, while working with Data to strengthen the metrics and attribution behind the business.
This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of finance, product, and growth across a multi-product platform, with direct exposure to senior leaders and the Board. You'll bring strong forecasting and financial modeling skills, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to turn complex analysis into clear strategic recommendations.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Serve as the primary strategic finance partner to Growth leadership bringing financial insight to our consumer business, evaluating growth opportunities, and developing clear recommendations on investment priorities and tradeoffs. Communicate them cross-functionally with BU stakeholders and leadership in operating reviews, executive discussions, and Board materials.
Build and scale the Self-Serve ARR planning framework, including forecasting methodology, management reporting, and budget, forecast, monthly review, and long-range planning cadences that support timely decisions and accountability.
Own the Self-Serve ARR forecast models and analyses, ensuring they are accurate, actionable, and delivered on time. Build and maintain the user-level and cohort models (acquisition, conversion, retention) that drive the forecast.
Track daily month-to-date performance against forecast and goals; consolidate results across business units and communicate key drivers, risks, and opportunities in business reviews.
Partner closely with Data to define and validate metrics and leading indicators, improve data quality and attribution, and establish a trusted source of truth.
Partner with Paid Acquisition and marketing finance to connect cohort behavior to acquisition spend and unit economics.
Develop clear recommendations on investment priorities and business tradeoffs, and communicate them cross-functionally with BU stakeholders and leadership in operating reviews, executive discussions, and Board materials.
Assess how product, BU, and go-to-market decisions, including feature launches and their timing, change user behavior and affect ARR, revenue, and growth, and turn those insights into a forward-looking view for leadership.
Improve forecasting and reporting processes, including moving toward rolling forecasts, using automation and AI where useful and validating outputs with sound judgment.
About You
8+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, strategic finance, corporate finance, investment banking, consulting, or a related field, including 3+ years partnering with product, growth, or business unit leaders. Top line revenue forecasting experience in a consumer business is a strong plus.
Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Math, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
Advanced financial modeling skills, including the ability to build and stress-test flexible, assumption-driven models from ambiguous inputs that reflect a point of view, not just spreadsheet theory.
Experience with user-level metrics such as conversion, retention, and churn, and with cohort analysis that connects user behavior to ARR and revenue.
Proficiency in SQL, with the ability to work directly with data to validate metrics and build analyses.
Excellent communication skills, including credible, structured storytelling for executives and cross-functional partners and the ability to zoom in and zoom out between detail and narrative.
A track record of building trust and influencing results alongside a variety of stakeholder groups, including senior leaders, without formal authority.
Analytical rigor, intellectual curiosity, and attention to detail, with the ability to synthesize information, decompose problems, and diagnose root causes using data and logic. Comfortable going deep on unit economics without losing the strategic question, and committed to accuracy in analysis and reporting.
Demonstrated ability to use AI tools for analysis, research, or workflow automation, with good judgment in validating outputs.
Team-oriented and self-directed, motivated by business outcomes and by being great at your craft in service of enabling them, with the ability to prioritize and drive complex workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
Working knowledge of accounting principles and revenue recognition.
Preferred: Experience with SQL, Python or R.
