Job Type: Full-Time l Location: San Francisco, CA l Department: AI Infrastructure Supply Chain l Reporting to: Director, Supply Chain Governance, Risk and Intelligence | Work Location Type: #Hybrid

IREN is a leading AI Cloud Service Provider, delivering large-scale GPU clusters for AI training and inference. IREN’s vertically integrated platform is underpinned by its expansive portfolio of grid-connected land and data centers in renewable-rich regions across the U.S. and Canada.

The Senior Manager, Supplier Performance and Governance owns building and running IREN’s HPC supply chain frameworks for ensuring supplier performance and supply chain governance. This individual contributor designs the supplier performance framework, including Executive and Supplier Business Reviews, the quality audit framework and the cadence of reviews, and defines the supplier metrics and scorecards the sourcing teams use to monitor and manage their suppliers. The role also owns the governance metrics for the supply chain team, and partners with Supply Chain Business Operations to document the process flows and procedures the organization runs on. This role works alongside the Supply Chain Market Intelligence and Risk Manager within the Governance, Risk and Intelligence pillar and collaborates with Technical Sourcing, Hardware Procurement, Planning, Quality Engineering, Finance and Analytics to put the frameworks into practice.

With 100% renewable energy, we build, own and operate our data centers and take pride in being at the forefront of sustainable solutions for the ever-evolving applications of high performance compute. We belive that human progress is invaluable, but it should be done in the right way - responsibly, sustainably and having a positive impact on the communities we operate in.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Economics, Finance, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree in a quantitative field preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, strategic sourcing, procurement analytics or supply risk management, with at least 3 years focused on market intelligence, cost management or risk, ideally at a hyperscaler, cloud provider, AI lab or AI infrastructure company.
  • Experience managing supplier relationships and performance, including supporting supplier business reviews and maintaining supplier scorecards.
  • Demonstrated success defining and implementing performance metrics, KPIs and scorecards for suppliers and for internal supply chain teams, and reporting on them to leadership.
  • Familiarity with supplier quality audit practices and standards (for example ISO 9001, supplier qualification and corrective action processes); experience working with Quality Engineering preferred.
  • Experience documenting business processes and procedures, including process mapping (Visio, Lucidchart or similar), SOPs and RACI definitions.
  • Working knowledge of HPC and data center hardware supply chains, including compute (CPU/GPU), storage, networking and CM/ODM/JDM manufacturing, preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills; proficient in Excel and comfortable building dashboards in Power BI, Tableau or a similar tool.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to run recurring governance cadences on time and hold stakeholders to them.
  • Clear written and verbal communication, and the ability to work across sourcing, operations, quality, finance and suppliers without direct authority.
  • CPSM, CSCP, CQA or an equivalent supply chain or quality certification preferred.
Other important requirements
  • Pre-employment screening, including background check and substance testing may be required according to company policies.
  • Must be able to reliably commute to the assigned office location on scheduled in-office days under the hybrid work arrangement.
  • This role requires willingness to travel domestically and internationally to supplier and vendor sites, data centers, implementation partner locations, and industry events. IREN does not yet have an office in the Bay Area (a Santa Clara office is planned); until it opens, this role will work remotely, transitioning to hybrid on-site work once the office is established.
  • Design and implement IREN's supplier performance framework, including supplier segmentation, the Executive Business Review (EBR) and Supplier Business Review (SBR) formats and templates, and the frequency of reviews by supplier tier.
  • Define the supplier metrics and scorecards used to monitor performance across quality, delivery, cost, responsiveness and risk, and set the data sources, calculation rules and targets behind each metric.
  • Build the supplier quality audit framework with Quality Engineering, including audit scope, frequency, scoring and the corrective action and escalation process when suppliers fall short.
  • Run the supplier review calendar: prepare scorecards and review packs with the sourcing managers, facilitate EBRs and SBRs with strategic suppliers, track actions to closure and escalate repeat performance issues.
  • Define and report the governance metrics for the supply chain team as a whole, including the KPIs each function is measured on, and publish the monthly supply chain performance scorecard for leadership.
  • Partner with Supply Chain Business Operations to map and document the supply chain process flows and procedures, including RACI, controls and hand-offs between Technical Sourcing, Hardware Procurement, Planning and Quality Engineering.
  • Own the process and procedure documentation library for the supply chain organization, keep it current as processes change and drive adoption across the teams.
  • Contribute supplier performance data to the risk register and support the Market Intelligence and Risk Manager in supplier risk assessments and mitigation plans.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering to build the scorecards, trackers and dashboards in Excel and existing BI tools, and define the requirements for future supplier management tooling.
  • Train sourcing managers and cross-functional partners on the supplier performance framework, scorecards and procedures.
  • Partner with Data Engineering and Systems SMEs to build tools, dashboards, and AI-based solutions to report across risk, market intelligence, and cost.
