Job Description
As Team Leader for LEGO Building Experience Development, you will lead a team creating high-quality physical and digital building experiences for LEGO builders of tomorrow. You will guide people, priorities and delivery, ensuring that our building instructions are intuitive, age-appropriate and grounded in consumer insight.
Core Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Lead the daily operations of the LEGO Building Experience Development team, balancing internal customer needs, priorities and delivery demands.
- Take responsibility for people leadership and employee-related activities, guiding the team across day-to-day work, projects and product deliveries.
- Support the development of team members through regular one-to-one conversations, coaching and constructive sparring.
- Set the tactical and operational direction for the department, ensuring strong delivery across tasks, projects and product development activities.
- Align project plans, resource capacity, milestones and deadlines with key stakeholders, creating transparency around progress, risks and dependencies.
- Drive and support consumer building experience testing, ensuring insights and learnings are translated back into the team’s work.
- Lead within a hybrid Scrum environment and help the team continuously develop its agile ways of working.
- Foster a highly collaborative One Team environment across functions, disciplines and stakeholder groups.
- Help integrate new building and play experiences into relevant digital solutions and building instructions across physical and digital touchpoints.

We are looking for an engaging and adaptable people leader who can provide clear direction while creating an environment where people can develop and succeed. You are comfortable balancing people leadership, project delivery and stakeholder expectations, and you value quality, collaboration and consumer focus.
Do you have what it takes?
- A handful of years of management experience within product development, innovation, design or another relevant business area.
- At least some years of direct people leadership experience.
- Experience working within a design organisation and leading medium to large projects.
- Strong leadership capabilities, with the confidence to set direction, make impactful decisions and empower a diverse team.
- Experience supporting people development through coaching, regular feedback and one-to-one conversations.
- Knowledge of Agile and Scrum principles and experience working within agile delivery environments.
- Proven stakeholder management, collaboration and communication skills across different levels of a matrix organisation.
- The ability to translate strategic and tactical priorities into clear actions and implementation plans.
- Experience creating transparency around progress, status, risks and delivery in relevant decision-making forums.
- A strong process and quality focus, combined with a self-driven, results-oriented and proactive approach.
- A collaborative and team-oriented mindset, with a high level of change readiness and a constructive can-do attitude.
- Advanced written and spoken English skills
