The Client's Growth and Marketing team is looking for a hands-on content and communications contractor to backfill for a team member going on maternity leave this fall. This is a small, fast-moving internal team, so the right person is comfortable owning work independently and moving between strategic and executional tasks.
Core Responsibilities (Primary Focus)
The Client flagged these four projects as the priority focus for this role; day-to-day time should be weighted here first.
- Develop and deploy LinkedIn and email content before, during, and after company events.
- Write and manage company newsletter content.
- Lead content development for the 2027 Trends Report.
- Manage award submissions, from tracking deadlines through writing and final submission.
Secondary / As-Needed Responsibilities
Beyond the core focus above, this role may flex into the following as bandwidth allows. These are lower priority and not guaranteed weekly work:
- Draft and publish social content across LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube.
- Write and edit blog articles, case studies, and website copy.
- Support PR efforts, including media materials, press releases, talking points, and coordination with external PR partners.
- Support speaking opportunities: proposals, session descriptions, and speaker prep materials.
- Build and manage additional HubSpot campaigns, landing pages, forms, and segmentation outside of newsletters and event marketing.
- Support internal communications, such as announcements and leadership updates.
- Use approved generative AI tools to support research, drafting, and content repurposing, applying sound editorial judgment and protecting confidential information.
- Help maintain the editorial calendar and keep multiple projects, deadlines, and approvals organized.
- 5+ years of experience in marketing communications, content marketing, PR, or a related discipline.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging content.
- Hands-on HubSpot experience for email marketing, newsletters, and campaign execution.
- Experience managing an editorial calendar and producing content across multiple channels.
- Experience supporting PR, awards submissions, or executive thought leadership.
- Strong project management and organizational skills; comfortable managing multiple deadlines and stakeholders independently.
- Practical experience using generative AI tools in a professional communications environment, with sound judgment around confidentiality and accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
- HubSpot Marketing Software certification.
- Experience in an agency, B2B, or professional services environment.
- Experience coordinating with an external PR agency.
- Familiarity with SEO and AI-driven content discovery practices.
- Experience with project management tools such as Confluence or JIRA.
