The Role
BPX is hiring Senior Martech Consultants into our Intelligent Marketing practice. You will configure, build and optimise customer engagement platforms for enterprise clients, turning marketing use cases into live, measurable, cross-channel journeys. Braze is the primary engagement platform for this team, fed by customer data platforms such as Twilio Segment and cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake. This is a hands-on delivery role: you work with client marketing, CRM and data teams to shape use cases, build the campaigns and Canvases, set up the data and integrations behind them, and keep them performing well after go-live. You will join a growing team that owns engagement delivery on some of our largest programmes, from platform migrations through to ongoing optimisation.
What you’ll do
- Run use case and requirements sessions with client marketing and CRM teams, turning business goals into buildable, testable journeys.
- Build and configure cross-channel campaigns and Canvases in Braze across email, push, in-app, SMS and other messaging channels.
- Write and maintain dynamic, personalised content using Liquid, Connected Content and Content Blocks, driven by customer attributes and events.
- Set up the data behind each journey: user attributes, custom events, segments and audience syncs from the CDP and data warehouse.
- Support migrations from legacy marketing automation platforms, including template, data and journey rebuilds, parallel running and cutover.
- Plan and run testing, from QA, seed lists and previews through to A/B tests, multivariate tests and control groups.
- Monitor deliverability, performance and data flows, and diagnose issues across the stack before they reach the client's customers.
- Build consent, preference management and regulated content controls into every journey, including GDPR and sector-specific requirements.
- Enable client teams through documentation, training and hands-on coaching so they can run the platform day to day.
- Contribute to BPX delivery accelerators, templates and reusable assets, and support pre-sales with scoping and effort estimates.
What you’ll bring
- Braze certification (Certified Practitioner or above) is preferred. Strong candidates from other engagement platforms who commit to achieving Braze certification within their first three months will also be considered.
- Certifications in Twilio Segment, Adobe Marketo Engage, Salesforce Marketing Cloud or Adobe Journey Optimizer are an advantage.
- Four or more years hands-on in marketing automation or customer engagement platforms, ideally in a consulting, agency or enterprise martech team.
- Proven build experience on multi-step, multi-channel journeys, with a sound grasp of segmentation, triggers, throttling and frequency capping.
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS for email and message templates, and comfort with Liquid or similar templating languages.
- Understanding of how customer data reaches an engagement platform, from CDPs such as Segment and warehouses such as Snowflake, via APIs, SDKs and data syncs. SQL is a plus.
- Familiarity with product analytics and experimentation tools such as Amplitude is an advantage.
- Practical grasp of GDPR, ePrivacy and consent management. Experience in financial services or other regulated industries is an advantage.
- Consulting or agency background, credible with client marketers and comfortable working alongside data engineers and architects.
- Fluent English and the right to work in an EMEA country where BPX operates.
Why this role, why now
Customer engagement is where our clients' data investment turns into revenue, and demand for Braze skills across BPX's Intelligent Marketing practice is outstripping the team we have. We are growing this team over the next year to deliver large, multi-year engagement programmes, from platform migrations to ongoing optimisation. This role puts you in the build seat on enterprise programmes running a modern stack of CDP, cloud data warehouse and engagement platform, with architects and data specialists alongside you. If you want to go deep on Braze while building breadth across the wider front office, this is that seat.
