In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Technical Leadership & Customer Engagement Act as the primary mechanical technical focal point for customers, consultants, end-users and third-party inspection agencies during project execution. Lead technical discussions, clarification meetings, design reviews, 3D model reviews and engineering interface discussions. Review customer specifications, contract documents and project requirements to ensure technical compliance, identify risks, clarify deviations and resolve technical issues. Support Project Managers, Sales and Proposal teams during bidding, project pursuit and execution by providing mechanical engineering input, technical review and risk assessment. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, designers and project team members. Principal level candidates may also support regional technical leadership and engineering standardization. Mechanical Engineering & Design Execution Lead and execute mechanical and piping engineering activities for custody transfer metering systems, allocation metering systems, analyzer systems, sampling systems and packaged skid solutions. Prepare, review and approve key mechanical engineering deliverables including P&IDs, general arrangement drawings, skid layouts, piping isometrics, fabrication drawings, pipe supports, lifting arrangements, mechanical datasheets, BOMs, calculations, test procedures and operating manuals. Perform and review mechanical calculations and analyses including pressure drop, wall thickness, pipe stress, structural analysis, lifting analysis, hydraulic calculations and equipment sizing inputs. Ensure all engineering deliverables are completed according to project specifications, customer requirements, document control procedures, quality standards and project schedules. Coordinate engineering interfaces with E&I, Software, Process, Project Management, Supply Chain, Fabrication and Quality teams. Mechanical, Piping & Packaged Skid Systems Apply strong knowledge of piping systems, valves, pumps, strainers, quick opening closures, mechanical equipment and skid-mounted package components. Perform mechanical equipment selection, technical evaluation and design review to ensure compliance with project specifications and customer requirements. Ensure mechanical designs are practical for fabrication, installation, testing, operation and maintenance. Support troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues during fabrication, assembly, integration, testing, commissioning and warranty phases. Compliance, Procurement & Vendor Support Ensure mechanical engineering work complies with applicable customer specifications, project requirements, Oil & Gas industry standards and relevant codes including ASME, ANSI, ASTM, API, API MPMS, AGA, ISO, NACE, BPVC and piping standards. Support technical audits, inspections, HAZOP reviews, 3D model reviews and customer reviews during project execution. Prepare mechanical RFQ packages, purchase requisitions and technical specifications for mechanical equipment, piping materials and project buy-outs. Conduct technical bid evaluations, review vendor documents, resolve supplier technical queries and support supplier inspections or FAT activities where required. Fabrication, Testing, Commissioning & Project Support Provide mechanical engineering support during skid fabrication, assembly, installation, internal testing, FAT, SAT and commissioning activities. Work closely with fabrication yards, suppliers, subcontractors and internal stakeholders to ensure mechanical execution meets project technical, schedule and quality requirements. Support punch list closure, final documentation, as-built updates, project close-out and after-sales or warranty support. Manage multiple local and international projects simultaneously while prioritizing engineering deliverables to support procurement, fabrication and delivery milestones. Support continuous improvement of mechanical engineering processes, execution quality and project delivery efficiency. Significant experience in mechanical engineering design and project execution within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Chemical, Process Automation, or related industries. Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in design and project execution of: Custody Transfer Metering Systems Allocation Metering Systems Analyzer Systems Packaged Skid Systems Piping Systems Mechanical Equipment and Buy-outs Strong technical knowledge of mechanical design, piping systems, packaged skid systems and fabrication execution. Conversant with international Oil & Gas mechanical and piping codes and standards including ASME, ANSI, ASTM, API, API MPMS, AGA, ISO, NACE, BPVC and related industry codes. Good working knowledge of AutoCAD, CADWorx, 3D modeling software, CAESAR II, STAAD.Pro, piping stress analysis, structural analysis and hydraulic fluid calculations. Well versed in typical piping and mechanical calculations including pressure drop, wall thickness, relief valve sizing, actuator sizing, stress analysis, structural analysis, strainer / filter sizing and pump sizing. Familiarity with typical mechanical equipment used in custody transfer and allocation metering systems, including valves, pumps, strainers, quick opening closures and related skid components. Ability to independently execute engineering activities and coordinate across multidisciplinary teams. Strong communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills. Strong organizational capability with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and engineering software tools. Customer focused, results driven and quality conscious. Able to travel locally and internationally as business needs require. Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart: Experience in Measurement Systems and Solutions (MSS) projects. Experience with custody transfer metering systems, allocation metering systems, analyzer systems and sampling systems. Experience in skid package design, fabrication support, piping design, mechanical equipment selection and vendor management. Experience leading technical teams or mentoring junior engineers and designers. Experience participating in 3D model reviews, HAZOP reviews, FAT, SAT and field commissioning activities. Exposure to international EPC project environments and customer-facing project execution. Knowledge of FPSO systems and marine certification requirements will be an added advantage. Knowledge of project execution processes, engineering workflows and document control systems. Professional Engineer certification or equivalent professional accreditation will be an added advantage. Candidates with more than 15 years of relevant experience and demonstrated significant technical leadership capability may be considered for Principal Mechanical Engineer position.
