SENIOR MECHANICAL / HVAC ENGINEER – TEAM LEAD (HYBRID ROLE)

📍 Location: Vancouver, BC (Hybrid – 3 days remote per week)

💰 Compensation: CAD $150,000 – $220,000 total compensation

📅 Employment Type: Full-Time

Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a passion for HVAC systems, custom heat pumps, energy recovery, and team leadership?

We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer – Team Lead to lead an established engineering team, oversee complex mechanical projects, strengthen client relationships, and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and delivery of custom HVAC, heat pump, refrigeration, and energy recovery projects.
• Manage a team of engineers and project managers, supporting their professional development.
• Oversee project execution, technical deliverables, budgets, revenue, and profitability.
• Serve as Engineer of Record (EOR), reviewing and stamping engineering drawings.
• Develop client relationships and identify new business opportunities across BC.
• Lead projects from initial site assessments and system design through commissioning.

What We're Looking For:

• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation.
• Senior-level experience in HVAC, energy recovery, boilers, and building mechanical systems.
• Strong knowledge of thermodynamics and custom heat pump systems.
• Experience with FortisBC and BC Hydro energy studies.
• Proven experience leading engineering teams and managing projects.
• Strong client-facing, communication, and business development skills.
• Willingness to travel across British Columbia and Alberta.
