About Swan & Edgar
Swan & Edgar (a Fields Luxury brand) is a British heritage watch brand, specialising in the design, manufacturing and distribution of hand-assembled timepieces. We are fast growing, sell direct to customers in the UK and internationally, and paid media is our largest sales channel. We are seeking to bring media buying in-house.
The role
Ownership of Swan & Edgar’s paid media end-to-end: Meta and Google are primary; TikTok is growing; and Pinterest and Microsoft are opportunistic. Strategy, account structure, daily buying, budget allocation across markets, creative briefing & testing, landing page support, measurement & tracking and reporting. You will work alongside our current media agency during handover.
This is a hands-on senior role in a growing business. Both media buying the creative engine behind it are essential. You find the angles, brief the creators, read the results and feed the winners back into the accounts. You will work closely with a freelance network of UGC creators, videographers and designers and will collaborate with our Organic Marketing Manager when appropriate.
What you will own
- Media buying. Meta (most of budget), Google (Search, Shopping, Performance Max – 2nd largest channel), TikTok (3rd largest channel), Pinterest and Microsoft across UK, US, Middle East and EU. Structure, bidding, budgets, scaling rules and cut rules, documented.
- Creative strategy and testing. Angle development, test plans at 20 to 25% of budget, hooks, formats and audiences; winners scaled, losers replaced at the same volume.
- The creative engine. Briefs for UGC, statics and video; first-cut feedback; a monthly pipeline that never runs dry. Budget control/allocation. Black Friday, Christmas and launch creative planned eight weeks out.
- Measurement. Triple Whale, GA4 and Shopify. MER, new-customer CPA, contribution margin by market and campaign, not platform ROAS. Weekly report to the founder.
- Technical integrity. First responder when tracking, attribution, feeds, landing pages or checkout break, or platform flags hurt delivery. You diagnose, pull in the developer, protect spend, and confirm the fix before scaling.
- Landing pages and conversion. Page and offer tests with our developers and ecommerce lead; checkout and market-level conversion issues flagged and chased.
- Launches and peak. Paid plan and budget for every collection launch and trading peak, sequenced with organic and email.
What we are looking for
- Seven or more years buying paid social and search hands-on, including taking a premium DTC brand from around £100k spend to £300k spend or more a month as the named buyer, with healthy contribution margin intact. You can show the numbers and what you personally did.
- You read creative like a strategist: you can say why an ad worked, brief the next one, and tell a creator what to fix.
- Fluent in Triple Whale or equivalent, MER, incrementality basics, tracking, and attribution models. Strong reporting.
- Real taste. You know the difference between an ad that converts and an ad that cheapens the brand, and you refuse the second.
- Self-sufficient and proactive. Comfortable with AI tools. A real interest in watches, menswear, luxury, design or craft.
Key details
- Full-time remote long-term full-time position.
- UK hours guidance Monday to Friday, 9am to 5.30pm UK time.
- Access to your own laptop, a quiet workspace and strong internet.
- Start date: First week of January. Flexibility can be discussed.
- Compensation: in line with market rates and will vary depending on experience level. Exact numbers will be discussed with the founder following the video interview.
