Ko wai mātou – About us Foodstuffs is privileged to have an amazing brand portfolio, some of New Zealand’s best and most trusted. Foodstuffs New Zealand is a 100% New Zealand owned and operated organisation, made up of two regional co-operatives and a central ‘centre of excellence’ leading national marketing, corporate affairs, corporate social responsibility, sustainability, brand and customer experience strategies and activities. Foodstuffs New Zealand (FSNZ) partners with the broader business to ensure the creation of winning brands through customer experience design, actionable insight and rich data intelligence. Precision Media is our retail media business, launched to deliver a win-win-win for customers, suppliers, and our co-operative. We create meaningful customer experiences while helping our supplier partners achieve strong commercial outcomes and above-average returns on their investment. Te Tūranga – About the role We have a 12 month fixed term opportunity for a Senior Media Planner within Precision Media. In this role, you’ll play a key role in growing supplier partnerships and driving media revenue across the New World and PAK’nSAVE retail network. Reporting to the Sales and Client Partnerships Manager, you’ll own a portfolio of high-profile FMCG brands across key categories, leading the development of insight-led, commercially strong media strategies that deliver real business outcomes. You’ll act as a trusted partner to your clients — building strong relationships, leading sales conversations, and turning supplier needs into high-impact campaigns that drive awareness, trial, basket growth, and loyalty. As a senior member of the team, you’ll also lead planning excellence — mentoring two team members, uplifting capability, and setting the standard for high-quality output. Alongside this, you’ll take ownership of revenue performance across your portfolio, identifying growth opportunities and supporting pipeline and conversion. Working with a passionate and experienced retail media team, you’ll collaborate closely with planners, analysts, campaign managers, and wider Foodstuffs teams to deliver integrated campaigns that create meaningful customer experiences and measurable commercial impact. You build trusted relationships with stakeholders and suppliers, using data and insight to guide smarter decisions and unlock growth opportunities. You take pride in lifting team capability, leading by example, mentoring others, and driving high standards of output in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. You’ll bring: Experience in media planning within agency, retail, FMCG, or complex stakeholder environments Strong commercial acumen and confidence engaging senior stakeholders Proven ability to influence through insight, storytelling, and relationship-building Experience mentoring or supporting others, with a focus on lifting capability and performance A proactive, outcomes-focused mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement You have a comprehensive understanding of the media ecosystem and can develop through-the-line, multi-channel solutions that deliver on client objectives while supporting revenue growth for Precision Media. This role will suit a results-driven individual who seeks positive outcomes for both team and stakeholders. You demonstrate a growth mindset, with a strong desire to learn and continuously develop through the role. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of one of New Zealand’s newest media companies. We’re interested in your diverse experiences, your strengths and how adaptable you are to learn and grow. If you don't meet every requirement, but feel this role could be for you, we’d still love to hear from you! Experience awesome. Achieve awesome. Be awesomely you.
