Role Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor to join our specialist team delivering major hospital and laboratory projects across the UK, with project values ranging from £20m to £2bn. The role can be based anywhere in the UK and offers the opportunity to work on some of the country's most complex healthcare and technically demanding developments.
You will provide MEPH cost management expertise across the full project lifecycle, working closely with clients, consultants, contractors and the wider Cost & Commercial Management team. This is an opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-profile healthcare and technically complex developments.
Role Accountabilities
- Lead the delivery of MEPH cost management services across projects or major work packages.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, cost reporting and cost control activities.
- Support successful project delivery against agreed scope, programme and budget objectives.
- Identify, assess and escalate commercial risks and cost-related issues.
- Provide clear and commercially focused advice to clients and project stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and contractors.
- Support, coach and mentor junior team members.
- Contribute to collaboration, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement across the team.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in MEP quantity surveying and/or cost management on complex building projects.
- Ability to deliver cost management services throughout the full project lifecycle, from inception to completion.
- Strong commercial awareness, including budget management, forecasting and cost control.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build effective client relationships.
- Experience supporting, mentoring or developing junior colleagues.
- Experience working on healthcare projects or other highly serviced, technically complex developments would be advantageous.
- Relevant professional qualification and/or chartered status (MRICS or equivalent) would be beneficial.
