Senior Microsoft Administrator
Reporting to the IT Security and Solutions Manager, the Senior Microsoft Administrator plays a pivotal role in shaping the security, reliability, and future of the organization’s Microsoft enterprise environment. This position provides expert leadership across Microsoft 365 services, identity and access management, endpoint management, information protection, compliance, and collaboration platforms, while championing the secure adoption of Microsoft AI (Copilot) and emerging technologies. As a trusted senior technical resource, the role tackles complex challenges, influences technology decisions, and partners with stakeholders to turn Microsoft capabilities into secure, practical solutions. Through strategic service enhancements and continuous improvement, the Senior Microsoft Administrator will strengthen the organization’s technology foundation, elevate the user experience, and enable greater business productivity
Primary Responsibilities
- Providing expert-level guidance across all the full Microsoft stack at an Enterprise level
- Deploy, manage, and maintain Microsoft 365 services: Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, Entra ID, Intune, Purview, DLP, and Defender
- Configure and maintain Microsoft Purview (DLP, Information Protection, Insider Risk, eDiscovery, Records Management)
- Manage Intune for Windows and iOS, including configuration profiles, compliance policies, application packaging, and update rings
- Administer identity and access: user accounts, security groups, permissions, Conditional Access, and MFA
- Apply working knowledge of Enterprise Copilot design, security, and implementation
- Provide support for Microsoft 365 incidents, requests, and operational issues
- Troubleshoot identity, messaging, collaboration, and endpoint-related problems
- Plan and implement Microsoft 365 feature rollouts and service enhancements
What you Bring!
- 5+ years of expert-level experience leading and administering Microsoft 365 or enterprise collaboration platforms
- Strong experience with Microsoft Purview (DLP, Information Protection, Insider Risk, eDiscovery)
- Strong technical experience with Microsoft Enterprise Copilot and CoWorks
- Hands-on experience with Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Entra ID, and Intune
- Solid understanding of identity, Conditional Access, Zero Trust, and modern endpoint management
- Strong troubleshooting skills across networking, identity, and endpoint layers
- Exposure to PowerShell and automation frameworks
- Active Microsoft certifications: MS 102, SC 300, SC 400, MD 102, AZ 104, AZ 140
- Bachelors' Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Active ITIL certifications are considered an asset
Salary Range: CAD $100,000 - $120,000.
The expected salary range for this role is intended to support transparency and informed decision making. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience and internal equity.
