Position Summary Essnova Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Microsoft Cloud Engineer to support a federal customer in designing, implementing, securing, and optimizing enterprise Microsoft cloud environments. The ideal candidate is a technical leader with deep expertise across Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, identity management, endpoint administration, and cloud security who thrives in highly regulated federal environments. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 cloud environments. Administer Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and identity governance solutions. Configure and manage Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Purview, and other Microsoft security platforms. Support hybrid Active Directory environments and endpoint management using Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot. Implement Zero Trust security principles and cloud security best practices. Support Microsoft collaboration platforms including Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint Online. Develop cloud monitoring, reporting, and cost optimization strategies. Collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, and infrastructure teams to improve enterprise cloud operations. Produce technical documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures. Ensure compliance with NIST, FedRAMP, and other applicable federal cybersecurity standards. Why Join Essnova? Required Qualifications Demonstrated experience designing and supporting Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 enterprise environments. Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Conditional Access, Identity & Access Management (IAM), and MFA. Experience administering Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Purview, Intune, and Windows Autopilot. Strong understanding of Zero Trust architecture and cloud security principles. Experience supporting hybrid Active Directory environments. Knowledge of NIST cybersecurity frameworks, FedRAMP, and federal cloud security requirements. Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Microsoft Azure certifications. Microsoft 365 certifications. Experience supporting federal government environments. Experience leading enterprise cloud modernization initiatives. Clearance Public Trust (Tier 2) clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one.
