About Aurendor

Aurendor is a Belgian technology scale-up that helps countries, institutions and organisations protect themselves

against foreign information manipulation and interference (FIMI).

We develop innovative technology that analyses not only what information circulates online, but above all what

information people actually get to see, how it spreads and what impact it has.

Our platform is built around digital sovereignty: open source, European hosting and maximum control over data and

infrastructure. We work for governments, critical infrastructure and financial institutions.

We are in an important growth phase, in which technological innovation, scalability and reliability are central.

The challenge

To further develop our mobile applications, we are looking for an experienced mobile engineer with a broad technical

background, a strong vision for mobile development and the ambition to play a defining role in Aurendor’s further

growth.

You will join a compact, specialised technology team, working closely with engineers and the founders.

You will have the room to help shape technical choices, tackle complex challenges and take responsibility for key

parts of our mobile development.

We are not only looking for someone who builds excellent mobile apps, but above all for someone who understands

technology from a broader perspective: product development, user experience, performance, security and the

organisation of an efficient engineering team.

The exact scope of the role can evolve with your experience, expertise and the further growth of the company.

In practice: full-time, permanent contract, Brussels with hybrid working options. Start date by mutual agreement,

preferably soon.

What you’ll do

• Take on a key role in designing, developing and expanding our mobile applications (iOS, Android and/or

cross-platform).

• Help shape technical choices around mobile technology, frameworks, tooling and testing strategy.

• Translate complex technological challenges into robust, secure and high-performing mobile solutions.

• Contribute to the technical roadmap and to choices on technology, development processes and priorities.

• Collaborate and share knowledge within the engineering team, with attention to quality, efficiency and sustainable

technical choices.

• Evaluate developments in the mobile ecosystem and identify opportunities to further build out our apps.

• Help ensure that privacy, security and reliability are structurally embedded in our mobile applications.

Who we’re looking for

We are looking for an experienced mobile profile who enjoys getting hands-on, while looking beyond individual

development tasks.

You combine in-depth technical knowledge with analytical insight, independence and the ability to bring others along

in technical decisions.

What matters to us

• Extensive professional experience in software development, preferably at least 7 years, with demonstrable

responsibility for complex projects or products.

• A strong background in mobile development (iOS, Android and/or cross-platform), with proven experience

delivering and maintaining apps.

• Experience building reliable, high-performing and user-friendly mobile apps.

• The ability to prepare, justify and execute technical decisions independently.

• A good understanding of security, privacy-by-design and data management.

• Experience with technical project coordination, mentoring or guiding other developers is an important asset.

• A pragmatic mindset: you know when a solution needs to be technically ambitious and when simplicity is the better

choice.

• You feel at home in an entrepreneurial environment where responsibilities are broad and initiative is valued.

• You communicate fluently in English. Dutch and/or French is a plus.

Additional assets

• Experience in a scale-up or in building a technology product from an early stage.

• Knowledge of mobile security, data analysis, privacy-sensitive applications or European digital regulation.

• Experience with open-source ecosystems.

• Experience structuring engineering processes and guiding multidisciplinary teams.

• An interest in geopolitics, disinformation and digital sovereignty.

What we offer

• A key position in an ambitious European technology scale-up, with direct impact on the development of innovative

mobile applications.

• Broad technical responsibility, with room to bring in your own insights and experience.

• The opportunity to help steer important technical choices and the further professionalisation of our technology

organisation.

• An environment with short decision lines, direct collaboration with the founders and plenty of room for initiative.

• A role that can grow with the company, in content and in responsibilities.

• Work with societal relevance, at the intersection of technology, geopolitics and digital security.

• A competitive salary package, matched to experience and responsibilities.

• Flexible hours and hybrid working options.

Would you like to help build a European technology company with international ambitions?

Send your CV and a short motivation to dominique@aurendor.be.

Our selection process consists of an introductory meeting, an in-depth discussion of your technical experience and

previous projects, and a meeting with the founders and the technology team.

Because Aurendor works with sensitive clients and applications, a security screening may be part of the process.
