Senior .NET developer

For a large-scale programme in the Transport Execution Management domain, we are looking for a Senior .NET Developer who will take full ownership of designing, building, and delivering high-quality, well-tested software solutions.

In this role, you will work closely with the solution designer and business stakeholders to translate functional concepts into robust, scalable applications. Beyond deep technical craftsmanship, you bring independence, clear communication, a constructive attitude, and the initiative needed to drive mission-critical transport systems forward.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Taking end-to-end ownership of designing, implementing, and deploying reliable .NET applications within the Transport Execution Management domain
• Developing and maintaining secure, performant .NET Core Web APIs and backend microservices
• Building and enhancing complex native .NET for Android / Xamarin mobile applications, mastering the Android lifecycle and native bindings
• Developing modern web interfaces leveraging Blazor
• Writing clean, maintainable code following SOLID principles, design patterns, and rigorous security practices
• Creating meaningful, automated unit tests to ensure high test quality and system resilience
• Designing, querying, and optimizing relational databases with SQL
• Leveraging Azure cloud services, PaaS components, and event-driven architectures
• Setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines via Azure DevOps, including containerized deployments with Docker and Kubernetes
• Collaborating with solution designers and stakeholders, explaining technical choices clearly, and sharing knowledge within the team

Your Profile:

• Over 10 years of professional experience in .NET development (deep mastery of C#, LINQ, async/await, security practices, and patterns)
• Over 5 years of experience in .NET Core Web API development and architecture
• Over 5 years of hands-on experience in .NET for Android / Xamarin (deep understanding of Android lifecycle and native bindings)
• Over 5 years of experience in Azure Cloud development (PaaS, event-driven systems)
• At least 2 years of experience with Blazor
• Proven expertise in unit testing and automated test practices
• Strong experience in SQL & relational database design and query optimization
• Solid knowledge of Git, branching workflows, and Azure DevOps CI/CD (Docker & Kubernetes are strong assets)
• Full professional fluency in English (C2)
• Exceptional problem-solving skills, autonomy, calm under pressure, and a constructive team-player mindset

• Hybrid / Remote: Flexible remote model, with up to 20 business days on-site in Brussels during the assignment, determined based on project needs.
