Senior Software Developer - Cape Town (2 days in office) - Up to R125,000 CTC + 15% Bonus

Ada Meher are partnered with a global enterprise SaaS business in the automotive space that’s currently building out its Cape Town engineering hub. They’re looking to bring in Senior Software Developers who want to stay hands-on and play a key role in shaping a large, data-driven platform used worldwide.

This is a genuinely senior, delivery-focused role ideal for someone who enjoys designing solutions, writing high-quality code, and having a real influence on how a product evolves.

You’ll be reporting into a locally based Lead Developer while working very closely with UK-based Product and Engineering teams. Together, you’ll be building and evolving a large-scale Automotive Intelligence Platform used by retailers and OEMs across global markets.

This isn’t a role where you disappear into meetings or spend your days reviewing other people’s pull requests. You’ll be hands-on throughout the full software development lifecycle, from initial design and architecture through to build, integration, deployment, and ongoing improvement.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Designing and delivering new features and enhancements across a complex SaaS platform
• Building and maintaining integrations with third-party systems and APIs
• Contributing to architecture and technical decision-making alongside senior peers
• Writing clean, scalable, and well-tested code that holds up at enterprise scale
• Modernising legacy code
• Working closely with Product, QA, and Engineering colleagues across regions
• Helping uphold and improve engineering standards, practices, and code quality
• Supporting a growing engineering hub as it matures and scales

The Tech Environment

• C# and .NET / .NET Core
• SQL / T-SQL
• Azure (cloud services, hosting, integrations)
• Azure DevOps (CI/CD, pipelines, deployments)
• Front-end work using HTML, JavaScript, and Razor
• APIs and system integrations within a SaaS environment

What They’re Looking For

• Strong commercial experience as a Senior Software Developer
• Deep hands-on knowledge of C#, .NET and SQL (optimization, stored procedures, SQL profiler)
• Experience building or supporting scalable SaaS or enterprise-scale platforms
• Solid experience working with Azure-hosted applications
• Proven background building APIs and third-party integrations
• Comfortable contributing across backend and frontend when needed with Razor
• Someone who enjoys ownership, problem-solving, and working at scale
• Experience working with distributed or international, large teams is a bonus
