Senior Network Engineer

Korn Ferry has partnered with our client on their search for a role, Senior Network Engineer / Network Operations Analyst.

Salary: 20,000–30,000 PLN gross/month, depending on experience and contract type

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer / Network Operations Analyst to join a global organisation.

You will be responsible for supporting and maintaining a highly available, business-critical network environment. The role combines day-to-day network operations and troubleshooting with infrastructure projects, network improvements and automation.

You will work in a fast-paced, multi-vendor environment and provide support across first, second and third line.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day network support and troubleshooting.
• Perform root cause analysis for network outages and recommend solutions.
• Deliver infrastructure projects, including new installations, platform refreshes and redesigns across Data Center and Enterprise environments.
• Implement and support third-party services including CDN, Extranet and VPN.
• Perform code upgrades and hardware replacements.
• Implement and operate Palo Alto firewalls and F5 load balancers.
• Support continuous service improvement and network automation initiatives.
• Maintain technical procedures and network design documentation.
• Manage enterprise network monitoring solutions and evaluate new tools.
• Implement BAU network changes following established change management processes.
• Attend data centers and remote sites when required for maintenance and audits.
• Participate in shift patterns and on-call support, including occasional weekend support.

What we're looking for

Technical skills:

• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco IOS and Junos OS.
• Strong knowledge of routing protocols including BGP, OSPF and EIGRP.
• Experience with route manipulation, redistribution and filtering.
• Experience with Palo Alto firewalls.
• Experience with F5 load balancers.
• Knowledge of Wi-Fi networking principles, including design, installation and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Extreme Networks would be an advantage.
• Network automation experience would be beneficial.

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in senior-level network engineering.
• Experience supporting high-volume, high-availability environments, ideally within financial services, banking or trading.
• Experience delivering and supporting wireless networks.
• Experience working across multi-team and multi-vendor infrastructure environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Preferred certifications:

• Cisco CCNP Routing & Switching / CCNP Enterprise
• JNCIA-Junos
• Wireless networking certifications

Work Arrangement

• Warsaw-based hybrid position with 3 days per week in the office.
• Primarily offered as a permanent employment contract (UoP).
• Salary range: 20,000–30,000 PLN gross per month, depending on experience and contract type.
