Senior Network Engineer

Description of the project:

Join a global financial services organization as a Senior Network Engineer, supporting and developing its growing APAC network capability. You will be responsible for ensuring reliable, resilient, and low-latency connectivity across data centres, offices, and cloud environments.

The network infrastructure supports a sophisticated, latency-sensitive trading platform operating across a 24/7 global environment. You will work within a small, highly experienced engineering team, with strong ownership of solutions and a direct impact on business-critical systems. The environment places a strong emphasis on engineering quality, security, performance, and operational resilience.

What you'll do

• Own network operations and change through the day across the firm's sites and cloud

• Lead on resilience, low-latency connectivity and incident response for trading-critical paths

• Drive automation of network configuration, monitoring and validation

• Partner with London and New York on global standards and follow-the-sun coverage

• Mentor engineers as the India team grows

What you'll bring

• 7+ years in enterprise/data-centre networking, ideally in trading or another latency-sensitive setting

• Deep routing/switching (BGP, OSPF), firewalls (Palo Alto) and secure web (Zscaler)

• Network automation (Python, Ansible) and monitoring

• Calm, rigorous operator for trading-critical infrastructure

Nice to have

• Cloud networking (AWS Transit Gateway, Direct Connect)

• Multicast / market-data networking

• follow-the-sun experience
