Job Description Role Overview The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, and operational support of enterprise WAN, LAN, wireless, and secure connectivity solutions within a corporate network environment. This role has the responsibility for the technical delivery of complex network initiatives, provides advanced troubleshooting expertise, and ensures solutions are implemented reliably, securely, and in alignment with established enterprise architecture standards. The Senior Network Engineer operates with minimal supervision, collaborates closely with Security, Project, and Operations teams, and plays a key role in improving network stability, performance, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Network Design & Implementation Design, plan, and implement enterprise WAN, LAN, wireless, and remote access network solutions in accordance with approved architecture standards. Lead the technical delivery of assigned network projects from detailed design through implementation and operational handoff . Create and maintain low‑level network design documentation , including detailed Visio diagrams, implementation plans, and support handover materials. Assess network performance and capacity to ensure solutions meet current and near‑term business requirements . Operations & Advanced Support Provide third‑level technical support for complex network incidents, including root cause analysis and permanent corrective actions. Analyze network activity and incident trends to identify, remediate, and prevent systemic issues . Support major incidents by providing deep technical expertise and coordination with internal teams and vendors. Security & Compliance Collaborate with Information Security to ensure security and compliance requirements are incorporated into all network designs. Provide technical assistance for the investigation, analysis, and mitigation of network vulnerability alerts. Implement secure networking principles, including segmentation, secure remote access, and policy enforcement. Vendor & Stakeholder Collaboration Work directly with network vendors and service providers to validate designs, troubleshoot complex issues, and support escalations . Collaborate with Project Managers, Account Managers, Security, and Network Operations teams to ensure successful end‑to‑end delivery. Provide clear technical communication to stakeholders across engineering and support organizations. Continuous Improvement & Automation Research, evaluate, and recommend software and hardware enhancements to improve network reliability, scalability, and performance. Use Python and network automation tools to streamline configuration, validation, and troubleshooting tasks. Contribute to service improvement plans that enhance operational efficiency and reduce risk. Knowledge Sharing & Mentorship Provide training, guidance, and technical mentorship to network support engineers. Contribute to internal knowledge bases, standards, and operational documentation Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager. Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent professional experience. Minimum of 5 years of experience in enterprise network engineering. Expert‑level knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF). Advanced understanding of Cisco routing and switching in large enterprise environments. Advanced knowledge of Arista switching . Advanced knowledge of enterprise WAN, LAN, wireless, MPLS, and TCP/IP networking . Advanced experience with Cisco VPN networking . Strong troubleshooting, planning, and problem‑solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Experience with SD‑WAN technologies , ideally Silver Peak. Working knowledge of SASE solutions . Working knowledge of cloud networking concepts , including hybrid connectivity. Working knowledge of Python and network automation tools. Experience with Citrix NetScaler Access Gateways . Knowledge of Unified Communications and MS Teams solutions. Cisco certification (e.g., CCNA, CCNP or equivalent experience). Success Profile The ideal candidate is a hands‑on senior engineer who excels at delivering complex network solutions, resolving high‑impact issues, and collaborating across teams. They demonstrate strong technical depth, sound judgment, and the ability to execute reliably within established architectural frameworks while continuously improving the enterprise network environment.
