What you’ll do
Reporting to the Network Planning Manager, the purpose of the Senior Network Planner is to guide where and how our store network grows. Leveraging spatial data and advanced analytics, you will partner with business leaders to evaluate new store opportunities, optimize our existing portfolio across multiple brands, and unlock format innovations that expand our eCommerce capacity across Australia.
You will:
Build and manage relationships across the business to enable collaboration within an Agile working environment. Working across the network planning team sharing knowledge and best practice
Develop & share local knowledge and expertise across Woolworths Group, applying network planning assessment frameworks for priority new stores, expansions & replacements, renewals, eCom network & acquisitions
Lead and support the development of our state network strategies and new space pipeline, utilising regional market, customer loyalty & industry activity data
Identify and assess new market growth opportunities and forecasting future store sales and impacts
Apply network planning capability to enable data based decision making to inform Capex investment decisions and commercial deliverables
What you’ll bring
Retail experience utilising spatial data and GIS technologies (e.g. MapInfo) ideally in a big box environment
Experience forecasting new store sales using spatial data and GIS technologies and assessing property strategic fit
A passion for retail site selection and store location analysis with a strategic, analytical mindset to solve complex business problems
Excellent time management and organisational skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks and work to tight deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to work effectively within a team environment within an agile organisational structure
Degree or Postgraduate qualifications in Geography, Economics, Commerce, Statistics majors or similar (desirable)
Willingness to travel both within state and interstate
