Location: United Arab Emirates (Remote)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Experience Level: Mid-Level to Senior

Work Arrangement: Fully Remote

About Us

We are a construction and infrastructure-focused organization committed to delivering innovative, high-quality, and sustainable engineering and operational solutions. Our activities span construction projects, infrastructure development, industrial operations, facilities management, and technical services. We emphasize product quality, process efficiency, technical innovation, and continuous improvement throughout the project and product lifecycle.

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Senior NPI Specialist (New Product Introduction) to coordinate the transition of new products, components, equipment, and technical solutions from development into production or operational deployment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in project coordination, product industrialization, process validation, cross-functional collaboration, quality management, and production readiness.

The Role

As a Senior NPI Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating new product introduction activities, ensuring that products and processes are technically ready, commercially viable, and compliant with established quality requirements before launch. You will work closely with engineering, product development, manufacturing, procurement, quality assurance, supply chain, and project management teams to manage timelines, mitigate risks, and ensure successful product transitions.

This role requires strong organizational skills, technical understanding, analytical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously. You will contribute to product launch planning, design reviews, process readiness assessments, supplier coordination, testing, validation, and post-launch performance monitoring.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage comprehensive new product introduction (NPI) plans, schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate product introduction activities from initial concept and development through testing, qualification, launch, and operational handover.
  • Establish project objectives, timelines, resource requirements, responsibilities, and success criteria for NPI initiatives.
  • Collaborate with product development, engineering, manufacturing, procurement, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to ensure launch readiness.
  • Translate product requirements, customer specifications, and business objectives into actionable introduction plans.
  • Review product designs, technical specifications, drawings, bills of materials, and engineering documentation.
  • Coordinate design reviews to identify technical risks, manufacturing constraints, quality concerns, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support design for manufacturability (DFM), design for assembly (DFA), and design for reliability assessments.
  • Ensure product designs can be manufactured, assembled, inspected, installed, or deployed efficiently and consistently.
  • Identify potential design issues that could affect production quality, cost, delivery, performance, or serviceability.
  • Coordinate engineering changes and ensure that updated designs are communicated to relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records of product revisions, engineering change notices, and design approval status.
  • Develop product launch checklists and readiness criteria covering technical, operational, quality, and supply chain requirements.
  • Assess production readiness before pilot runs, initial builds, or full-scale product releases.
  • Coordinate pilot production activities and evaluate results against approved product specifications.
  • Support prototype development, sample builds, engineering trials, and initial production runs.
  • Ensure prototype and pilot build findings are documented and addressed before launch approval.
  • Coordinate the transition from prototype development to repeatable production processes.
  • Develop and maintain process flow diagrams, work instructions, assembly procedures, and production documentation.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and process engineering teams to establish efficient production workflows.
  • Identify production bottlenecks, process constraints, and equipment limitations that may affect launch schedules.
  • Coordinate the readiness of production equipment, tooling, fixtures, test systems, and supporting infrastructure.
  • Support equipment qualification, commissioning, and acceptance activities where required.
  • Verify that production facilities and operational resources are prepared for new product introduction.
  • Coordinate process validation and qualification activities to confirm that manufacturing processes meet defined requirements.
  • Review process capability data and production trial results to determine readiness for scale-up.
  • Support first article inspection (FAI), first production verification, and initial product conformity assessments where applicable.
  • Ensure that product testing, inspection, and validation requirements are defined and completed before release.
  • Coordinate functional testing, performance testing, reliability testing, and environmental testing as appropriate.
  • Review test results, identify deviations, and ensure that unresolved technical issues are addressed.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to establish inspection plans, control plans, and acceptance criteria.
  • Support the preparation and review of production part approval process (PPAP) documentation where applicable.
  • Ensure that product specifications, inspection records, and quality documentation are complete and controlled.
  • Identify potential quality risks and implement preventive measures before production ramp-up.
  • Coordinate root cause analysis for product defects, process failures, and pilot build discrepancies.
  • Track corrective and preventive actions and verify their effectiveness before launch approval.
  • Monitor early production performance to identify defects, yield issues, rework, and process instability.
  • Develop launch quality monitoring plans and establish appropriate escalation procedures.
  • Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure that required materials, components, and packaging are available before launch.
  • Identify critical components, long-lead materials, and supplier dependencies that could affect product introduction timelines.
  • Review bills of materials and verify the availability and accuracy of sourcing information.
  • Coordinate supplier qualification, sample approval, technical reviews, and component readiness assessments.
  • Evaluate supplier capacity, quality performance, delivery capability, and technical compliance for new products.
  • Work with suppliers to resolve component defects, specification discrepancies, and delivery constraints.
  • Support supplier development activities and establish corrective action plans when required.
  • Ensure that material specifications, certificates, test reports, and traceability records meet applicable requirements.
  • Develop contingency plans for supply shortages, supplier delays, component obsolescence, and other launch risks.
  • Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure that storage, handling, packaging, and distribution arrangements are ready.
  • Verify that packaging specifications protect product integrity during transportation, storage, and installation.
  • Support inventory planning for prototypes, pilot builds, launch quantities, and initial demand.
  • Collaborate with demand planning and commercial teams to align launch quantities with forecast requirements.
  • Evaluate production capacity and resource availability to support planned launch volumes.
  • Develop ramp-up plans that gradually increase production output while maintaining quality and delivery performance.
  • Monitor production readiness indicators, capacity utilization, output rates, and manufacturing yield during ramp-up.
  • Identify resource constraints and coordinate mitigation measures to maintain launch schedules.
  • Maintain detailed project schedules and track progress against NPI milestones.
  • Monitor dependencies between engineering approvals, supplier readiness, testing, production preparation, and product release.
  • Identify schedule deviations and implement recovery plans when milestones are at risk.
  • Maintain NPI risk registers and coordinate mitigation actions with responsible stakeholders.
  • Evaluate technical, operational, commercial, and supply chain risks throughout the product introduction lifecycle.
  • Prepare regular project status reports, launch dashboards, and management summaries.
  • Communicate project progress, critical issues, decisions, and outstanding actions to relevant stakeholders.
  • Facilitate cross-functional NPI meetings and ensure that action items are assigned, tracked, and closed.
  • Coordinate project documentation and ensure that product introduction records are accurate and accessible.
  • Support product cost analysis by identifying material, labor, tooling, testing, and production setup requirements.
  • Collaborate with finance and commercial teams to assess cost targets and potential cost improvement opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce production costs without compromising quality, safety, or product performance.
  • Support value engineering initiatives and evaluate alternative materials, components, designs, and processes.
  • Review product lifecycle considerations, including maintainability, serviceability, spare parts, and replacement requirements.
  • Coordinate with after-sales, technical support, and service teams to prepare product documentation and support arrangements.
