Senior Payroll Tax Analyst
Job Description Summary
The Senior Payroll Tax Analyst will be responsible for all government agencies at the federal, state, and local levels to resolve payroll related tax issue. The Position will report to the Payroll Tax Manager.
Job Description
· Act as tax liaison with the third-party vendor and all government agencies at the federal, state, and local levels to resolve M&A tax issues.
· Resolve state and local taxation cases resulting from incorrect tax profile setup/withholding
· Assist the reconciliation and generation of W2’s. Work with third party vendor to review and correct any issues.
· Ensure all amended tax returns are filed timely and accurately.
· Manage the tracking of all tax notices
· Research, analyze and determine the root cause of tax notices from federal, state, and local tax agencies for prior years and/or legacy systems
· Determine the need and prepare in-house tax amendments not supported by our current payroll tax filer
· Support the filing of W-2C’s from legacy systems that were not previously submitted to SSA or tax agencies
· Handle legal entity name changes with agencies, payroll systems and 3rd party payroll tax filer
· Assist with creating online access to our state and unemployment withholding accounts
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- Five to eight years of professional experience
- Required knowledge of ADP SmartCompliance and payroll tax administration processes
- Experience with the Oracle JD Edwards (JDE) Payroll system preferred
- Workday experience preferred
- Advanced knowledge of payroll tax requirements across all states
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
