Show job description
Alice & Bob is developing the first universal, fault-tolerant quantum computer to solve the world’s hardest problems.
The quantum computer we envision building is based on a new kind of superconducting qubit: the Schrödinger cat qubit 🐈‍⬛. In comparison to other superconducting platforms, cat qubits have the astonishing ability to implement quantum error correction autonomously!
We're a diverse team of 250+ brilliant minds from over 35 countries united by a single goal: to revolutionise computing with a practical fault-tolerant quantum machine. Are you ready to take on unprecedented challenges and contribute to revolutionising technology? Join us, and let's shape the future of quantum computing together!

About the Role

In a context of company and team growth, where hiring and retaining talent is key, we are building a People Experience team, bringing together HR Ops and business partnering, and aiming to propose a frictionless employee experience so teams thrive during their journey with us.
The Senior People Operations Specialist will join a People Ops Specialist to automate the employee lifecycle, from pre-onboarding to offboarding. Reporting to the People Experience Lead, they will work closely with the People & Culture teams, IT and Legal advisors to free up capacity for complex cases and manager support.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the automation of the employee lifecycle, from pre-onboarding to offboarding, with a client-centric approach
  2. In a context of HRIS and large AI implementation, choose what to automate and how based on internal needs, impact and effort, and own the automation roadmap
  3. Map processes and remove manual tasks through workflows and integrations between HR, recruitment and IT tools
  4. Administer and evolve people systems and HR data
  5. Maintain the HRIS and connected tools, and drive their improvement and deployment
  6. Ensure data quality and reliability
  7. Ensure operational excellence of People Operations, with a continuous improvement mindset
  8. Run processes (contracts and amendments, onboarding and offboarding, personnel administration, first-line support) until they are automated, then monitor compliance and keep improving what can be on the long run
  9. When needed, support the People Operations Specialist on payroll
  10. Handle complex operational cases as client-oriented projects
  11. Analyse the need, involve the right people and drive each case to resolution, in coordination with the relevant stakeholders
  12. Anticipate risks and escalate them appropriately
  13. Lead People Operations projects and measure their impact
  14. Drive transformation projects end to end (scoping, planning, change management)
  15. Define and track adoption and quality KPIs (e.g. smooth first days, delays, manual hours saved)

Requirements:

A proactive, service-oriented People Operations professional who combines operational rigor, curiosity for problem solving, with a business mindset. Ideally, someone with experience in structuring an HR function in a startup, with a global vision of HR needs, and a capacity to be both operational and strategic, or someone who experienced both HR Ops and business partnering. Strategic and business thinking is key here, and more important than hard knowledge in HR tools, an appetite for structuring in a fast-changing environment too.

  • Business-centric mindset and leadership: ability to contextualise, understand needs, prioritise, challenge and influence managers, decisioners, and stakeholders
  • Business partner posture to take on complex cases and projects, and facilitate them end to end (project management, change management)
  • Workflow automation and practical use of AI applied to HR processes
  • People systems at an international level: HRIS administration, configuration and integrations, payroll, EOR, benefits
  • Strong knowledge of French labor law and HR compliance
  • Data analysis and KPI tracking
  • Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive employee data
  • EDUCATION: Master's degree in HR, Law, Management or a related field

LANGUAGES: Proficient in English; French (fluent)

  • Knowledge of the Syntec collective agreement
  • Experience in a scale-up or deeptech environment
  • Experience in business partnering (in addition to Ops)
