As the world’s pioneering local delivery platform, our mission is to deliver an amazing experience, fast, easy, and to your door. We operate in around 65 countries worldwide, powered by tech, designed by people. As one of Europe’s largest tech platforms, headquartered in Berlin, Germany, Delivery Hero has been listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange since 2017 and is part of the MDAX stock market index. We push hard, learn quickly and stay human along the way. It’s this wonderful mix of high performance and real community that makes Delivery Hero a place where ambition and belonging grow side by side. If you’re curious, collaborative and ready to dive deep into meaningful work, you’ll fit right in.

Big systems. Exciting challenges. Real impact. As a Senior People Systems Specialist, you’ll own the security and governance of the Workday landscape that our people and processes run on globally. You’ll decide who can access what, keep us audit-ready, and turn complex security concepts into practical, scalable solutions.

You’ll join our 30+ strong People Technology (Workday) team, working across functional, integrations and AI teams. You’ll collaborate closely with product teams and CoEs covering Talent Acquisition, Talent, Total Rewards, People Operations Excellence and Data to build secure, scalable solutions for the whole organisation.

Join the team that champions the employee experience at Delivery Hero. As part of the People & Culture Team, you’ll help attract, develop, and retain top talent, creating a workplace where people feel valued, supported, and empowered to grow. With each initiative you support, you’ll be building a positive culture that fuels innovation, teamwork, and a sense of belonging across our global organization.

  • Own and continuously improve Workday security and governance across modules, countries and business areas, setting the standards and processes that keep our environment secure, scalable and compliant.
  • Design, configure and maintain Workday security, including roles, security groups, domains, business process security and intersection security, applying least-privilege principles and challenging access requests that aren’t justified.
  • Run periodic access reviews, and find and fix excessive access, security risks and control gaps before they become incidents or audit findings.
  • Act as the Workday Security SME for internal and external audits, keeping controls, documentation and evidence audit-ready, and own security remediation and release impact assessments.
  • Partner with Workday functional and technical teams, the Integrations team, HR, Information Security, Audit and Compliance to design secure solutions that use Workday’s out-of-the-box capabilities, and set best practices for integrations, APIs and service accounts, with hands-on remediation where needed.
  • Build security reports and dashboards, using Google Apps Script and other automation, that make access and risk insights easy to understand and act on.

  • 8+ years of hands-on Workday experience across HCM, security, business processes, reporting and calculated fields.
  • Deep expertise in Workday security, including security groups, domains, business process security, intersection security, access controls and least-privilege principles.
  • Experience designing and driving security governance: periodic access reviews, risk identification, audit readiness, evidence preparation and sustainable control improvements.
  • Strong understanding of Workday integrations, APIs, service accounts and release management, including assessing security and access impacts.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, able to simplify complex security models and challenge requirements while balancing security, compliance and business needs.
  • An ownership-driven mindset: you spot risks and opportunities on your own and drive scalable improvements.

Nice to have

  • Hands-on experience with Google Apps Script or similar tools to automate reporting and processes.
  • Experience building or remediating Workday integrations yourself.
  • Experience supporting security and access controls across multiple countries in a global Workday environment.

Ensuring you and all our Heroes are looked after, happy, and healthy is always on the menu. Because if you’re in good shape, then we’re in good shape.

  • Make the most of our hybrid working model* and join the team for face-to-face connection and collaboration in our beautiful Berlin campus 2 days a week*
