Job Description:
An ideal role for an experienced engineer who is rigorous, structured, and passionate about automation project management in highly regulated environments.
Roles and Responsibilities
Lead pharmaceutical automation projects from concept through commissioning, meeting scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
Coordinate cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations.
Oversee the design, integration, and validation of automation systems .
Define project requirements and prepare technical documentation.
Monitor project risks and ensure compliance with pharmaceutical regulations (GMP/GxP) and industry standards.
Collaborate with clients to improve manufacturing processes and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Provide clear reporting on project status and performance metrics.
Required Skills
Strong background in automation, gained in industrial or pharmaceutical environments.
Demonstrated expertise in project management and process automation, including leading complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
Experience with control systems: programming, integration, and troubleshooting.
Highly beneficial: knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, GMP/GxP regulations, and validation practices.
Proficiency with project management and tracking tools (MS Project, Primavera, or Smartsheet; Excel, Power BI,AI);
Asset: automation environments (Ignition, DeltaV, Rockwell PLC) and MES (Werum PAS-X, Syncade).
Interests

Work with cutting-edge manufacturing technologies.
Deepen your knowledge of pharmaceutical processes and biotechnology.
Work with senior automation managers and senior specialists in these technologies.
Desired Profile
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (electrical, automation, or related field) or equivalent relevant education and experience.
Senior-level experience managing technical automation projects, ideally in a pharmaceutical or highly regulated industrial environment.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with a focus on continuous improvement and risk management.
Proven ability to manage stakeholders, communicate clearly, and coordinate cross-functional teams in a hybrid work setting.
Autonomy in remote work, proactivity, and excellent communication skills.
English required, French an asset.

Professional certifications in project management (e.g., PMP) or automation (e.g., ISA); Member of the Order of Engineers.
