As part of a strong network of Physical Security professionals across E.ON’s German and European business units, you initiate and jointly drive Group-wide topics, foster collaboration and continuously strengthen E.ON’s physical protection capabilities.

Your Role – meaningful & rewarding

  • Develop and continuously improve E.ON’s Group-wide, risk-based Physical Security framework, standards and methodologies together with Physical Security leads and experts across the business units
  • Initiate and jointly drive Group-wide Physical Security topics, fostering collaboration, alignment and knowledge sharing across E.ON’s German and European businesses
  • Conduct and oversee security risk and threat assessments – including sabotage, vandalism, espionage and unauthorized access – and translate findings into proportionate asset protection and site security concepts and measures
  • Advise business units and projects on risk-based Physical Security requirements and protection measures, including perimeter protection, access control, intrusion detection and video surveillance
  • Develop and standardize on-site security operations together with local security organizations and relevant Group functions, including event and executive security where required
  • Support procurement and performance management of external security services, ensuring quality, effectiveness and cost efficiency
  • Monitor security incidents and emerging threats, identify trends and lessons learned and translate them into improvements to E.ON’s protection capabilities
  • Assess relevant security technologies, regulatory requirements and industry developments and translate them into practical improvements
  • Collaborate closely with Crisis Management, Business Continuity, IT and OT to strengthen the protection and resilience of E.ON’s critical operations

Your Profile – authentic & open-minded

  • Extensive professional experience in Physical Security within a corporate, critical infrastructure or similarly complex operational environment
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing risk-based Physical Security concepts, standards and protection measures
  • Strong expertise in physical security systems and technologies, including access control, intrusion detection, video surveillance and perimeter protection, combined with a strong understanding of security risk and threat assessment methodologies
  • Good understanding of critical infrastructure protection, relevant regulatory requirements and recognised security practices
  • Good understanding of the interdependencies between physical infrastructure, business operations and IT/OT environments, ideally within the energy or critical infrastructure sector
  • Experience working with senior management, business units, security service providers and relevant external stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex risks into proportionate and practical security measures
  • Strong communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills, with proven experience working collaboratively across functions, business units and countries
  • Strategic mindset combined with a hands-on approach, sound judgement, strong business acumen and a strong sense of ownership
  • Relevant professional certifications or qualifications in Physical Security (e.g. CPP, PSP or equivalent) are an advantage
  • Business fluency in English and German, both written and spoken; valid driver’s licence (Class B)
