About the role:

The Senior Physician Engagement Manager leads physician engagement efforts across Vascular Therapies Marketing, managing the planning of advisory boards with responsibility for building and sustaining physician relationships. The role serves as a trusted liaison between physician partners, and business leaders, helping ensure customer engagement is intentional, coordinated, and aligned to business priorities.

A key component of the role is leading the strategy and planning of advisory boards and other structured physician engagement programs. The individual ensures advisory boards engage the right physicians, clearly address what business questions need to be answered, and deliver actionable customer insights to internal teams. Beyond individual programs, the role maintains a broad view of the advisory board roster and engagement history, develops ongoing relationship plans, brings field-based customer perspectives into the organization, and identifies opportunities to strengthen physician partnerships across the Vascular Therapies business.

The ideal candidate will be able to build strong customer relationships and possess influencing skills, effectively engaging leaders at all levels to drive progress. A high attention to detail and a commitment to delivering best-in-class experiences for both physician advisors and internal teams are essential for success in this role.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Advisory boards and engagement programs: Lead the strategy and project management of advisory boards and other physician engagement programs, ensuring the right physicians are engaged, and each program addresses clearly defined business objectives.
  • Physician Advisor Portfolio Governance: Lead governance of physician advisory board membership, including nomination processes, advisor selection criteria, engagement planning, board composition strategy, participation evaluation, and succession planning to ensure diverse and strategically aligned physician representation.
  • Insight Strategy & Activation: Lead post-engagement insight synthesis, executive reporting, and action-planning activities to ensure physician feedback is translated into measurable business actions, product-development decisions, commercialization strategies, and future engagement plans.
  • Program Leadership: Provide end-to-end leadership for complex physician engagement programs, ensuring alignment of strategy, timelines, budgets, stakeholders, governance processes, and execution deliverables across multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Ongoing customer engagement: Build and maintain trusted, sustained relationships with key physicians through regular, purposeful engagement that extends beyond individual meetings, events, or projects.
  • Executive and Advisor Communications: Develop strategic communications, executive messaging, advisor correspondence, and engagement materials that reinforce business objectives and support best-in-class physician experiences.
  • Strategic Business Partnership: Serve as a strategic advisor to the business by translating physician insights, market dynamics, and engagement trends into recommendations that inform franchise strategy, portfolio priorities, commercialization plans, and organizational decision-making.
  • Engagement Strategy Consulting: Partner with business leaders to determine the most effective and compliant customer engagement approach, including advisory boards, working groups, surveys, interviews, and other feedback-generation methodologies.
  • Field presence and market insight: Spend meaningful time in the field meeting with physicians and other key stakeholders to understand their perspectives, needs, and evolving market dynamics; synthesize relevant insights for internal teams and leadership.
  • Cross-functional partnership: Collaborate with senior leadership, sales, medical affairs, product marketing, marketing operations, new product development, clinical, and other partners to align customer engagement activities with business priorities and ensure a coordinated customer experience.
  • Program content and facilitation: Develop strategic content frameworks; lead kickoff meetings, content reviews, pre-meetings, and post-engagement debriefs; and structure opening and closing sessions that enable productive discussion and decision-making.
  • Voice-of-customer learning: Design and administer pre- and post-engagement feedback mechanisms, capture actionable insights from external and internal stakeholders, and help translate learning into business actions.
  • Best-practice stewardship: Maintain and continuously improve the physician engagement playbook, tools, governance, and processes to strengthen consistency, quality, and organizational learning year over year.

Required qualifications:

  • Strong executive presence, judgment, discretion, credibility, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to represent and support senior leaders in high-value customer interactions.
  • Ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments, influence without direct authority, and align cross-functional teams around shared customer and business objectives.
  • Strong strategic thinking and business acumen, with the ability to connect customer perspectives and market dynamics to organizational priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, meeting facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Exceptional organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple relationships, programs, and priorities simultaneously and drive work through completion.
