Senior Placement Broker

Marsh Risk Placement Practice: We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Broker to join our Dublin based Placement team. The successful applicant will work within Placement who are a dedicated team providing risk marketing support to our RMP, Corporate and Commercial business segments. This role will be based in our Dublin office and offers a hybrid working model, with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote. Please note, commercial insurance experience will be an essential prerequisite for this position, and the successful candidate must also be CIP qualified at a minimum. This highly sought after position will involve working closely with Account Executives and Client teams plus other Marsh International and Specialty Broking teams. You will be required to work closely with Marsh colleagues on the implementation of placement strategy for client’s insurance programs. You will build and maintain strong relationships and develop strategic partnerships with key insurance carriers within the region, negotiate with insurers to achieve the best terms whilst delivering a first-class service for clients. This position will suit an experienced Commercial or Corporate Insurance professional, ideally from a broking/wholesaling background, however, we will also consider candidates from Commercial / Corporate Underwriting backgrounds, where there is a desire to move into servicing and candidates can demonstrate a high level of relationship management skills. We will rely on you to: Negotiate renewals and new business cases with the insurance market to obtain the best terms possible including complex or difficult cases. Understand the business needs, insurance requirements and risk management strategy of our clients and convey to insurers. Undertake appropriate research and analysis to select markets and where required assist in the design of insurance programmes to meet the client’s requirements. Provide recommendations and advice on placement strategy, programme structure and market conditions including occasional presentations to clients where appropriate. Provide regular updates to the Client Service teams on progress of insurer negotiations. Fully document all quotations received and advise the Client Servicing team of all conditions. Act as a referral point for the resolution of complex insurer queries. Host client and insurer meetings in partnership with the client service team as required. Support the Team Leader in management functions as required. Ensure operational and compliance procedures are followed and can be demonstrated at all times. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with insurers and seek feedback on Marsh’s service through ongoing dialogue. Working to and meeting tight deadlines for the delivery of insurance terms for clients/prospects.
