Salary: €80,000 to €110,000
Contract: Permanent
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Planning Manager to support the implementation and optimisation of Kinaxis within a pharmaceutical manufacturing site. This is an individual contributor role, ideally suited to a senior planner or planning specialist with 5–10 years’ experience across end-to-end supply chain planning and a proven track record of working with Kinaxis.
The organisation has already invested in its planning systems and digital infrastructure but requires additional expertise to maximise the capabilities of Kinaxis and embed effective, reliable planning processes at site level.
Working closely with site stakeholders and central planning and systems teams, you will play a key role in translating system capabilities into practical planning solutions, improving visibility of manufacturing capacity, strengthening scenario management and resolving ongoing system and process challenges.
This is an opportunity for someone who combines strong operational planning knowledge with hands-on Kinaxis experience and enjoys working at the intersection of supply chain, manufacturing and technology.
- Key ResponsibilitiesKinaxis implementation and optimisation: Support the full implementation, configuration and optimisation of Kinaxis within site planning processes, ensuring the system effectively supports operational requirements.
- End-to-end planning: Apply practical experience across supply chain and manufacturing planning, connecting demand, supply, production capacity and longer-term planning requirements.
- Capacity planning: Develop and maintain robust capacity planning processes, identifying constraints, assessing resource requirements and supporting effective decision-making.
- Scenario management: Use Kinaxis to model alternative planning scenarios, assess the impact of changes in demand, capacity or supply, and provide actionable insights to site stakeholders.
- Short- and long-term planning: Support both strategic capacity planning over a 10-year horizon and detailed operational planning across an 18-month rolling horizon, including monthly reviews.
- System troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve recurring system and planning issues, working with central support teams and relevant stakeholders to improve system performance and reliability.
- Process improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance planning processes, improve data quality and strengthen the integration between system outputs and day-to-day site operations.
- Stakeholder collaboration: Work cross-functionally with manufacturing, supply chain, planning, IT and central systems teams to ensure Kinaxis delivers practical value at site level.
- Continuous improvement: Establish effective ways of working, improve planning discipline and support the long-term sustainability of the site's planning processes.
- Experience & Skills Required5–10 years' experience in end-to-end supply chain planning, production planning, capacity planning or a closely related planning discipline.
- Hands-on Kinaxis experience is essential, ideally involving implementation, optimisation, enhancement or the development of planning processes.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing and site-level planning requirements, including capacity constraints, scenario modelling and planning horizons.
- Experience translating operational planning requirements into system functionality and effective planning solutions.
- Demonstrable problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate system issues and drive improvements.
- Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders and central planning or IT teams.
- A practical, analytical and self-directed approach, with the ability to operate independently and influence stakeholders without direct people-management responsibility.
The Ideal Candidate
You will be an experienced planning professional who combines strong operational knowledge with hands-on Kinaxis expertise. Equally comfortable understanding manufacturing constraints and working through system-related challenges, you will take ownership of improving planning processes and ensuring Kinaxis delivers meaningful, sustainable benefits to the site.
This is an individual contributor opportunity for someone who wants to make a tangible impact on planning capability, system performance and manufacturing decision-making.
