About the Role:
We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer with strong hands-on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience to strengthen a Platform & Enablement team.
You will work with the design, development, automation, and continuous improvement of cloud-based platform capabilities supporting data and engineering teams. The role combines hands-on engineering with platform design, automation, security, reliability, and developer enablement.
You will work independently in a complex enterprise environment and collaborate closely with platform engineers, data engineers, architects, security specialists, and development teams. The role requires someone who is comfortable taking technical ownership while remaining hands-on in implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, build, and improve platform capabilities on Google Cloud Platform
Work hands-on with GKE, Kubernetes, and containerized workloads
Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code, primarily using Terraform
Contribute to CI/CD and GitOps-based delivery practices
Work with GCP networking, IAM, security, and access management
Develop reusable platform components and enable self-service for engineering teams
Contribute to monitoring, logging, observability, and operational reliability
Support engineering teams with onboarding workloads onto the platform
Collaborate with architects, security teams, and engineers to ensure scalable and secure platform solutions
Contribute to technical standards, reusable patterns, and long-term platform improvements
Requirements:
Senior-level experience in Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or DevOps
Several years of hands-on production experience with Google Cloud Platform
Strong practical experience with GKE and Kubernetes
Strong hands-on experience with Terraform / Infrastructure as Code
Experience designing or developing cloud platform foundations or landing zones
Experience with IAM, Workload Identity, networking, and cloud security
Strong experience with CI/CD and automated software/infrastructure delivery
Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability in cloud environments
Experience supporting multiple development or engineering teams through shared platform capabilities
Ability to work independently and take technical ownership
Strong communication skills in English
