Ready to influence some of the most significant policy and regulatory decisions shaping the future of the UK's energy sector? Do you enjoy analysing complex challenges, working with senior stakeholders and helping drive meaningful change? Here, Success is Personal, and this is your opportunity to help shape the policies that support a secure, affordable and low-carbon energy future.
The Opportunity
As a Senior Policy Analyst within the Markets & Nuclear team, you'll play a key role in supporting EDF's policy development and advocacy activities across a diverse portfolio of energy market, regulatory and nuclear policy issues. You'll provide strategic insight to the business, help shape EDF's policy positions and contribute to decisions that support the UK's journey towards An Electric Britain.
Alongside a competitive starting salary of £55,000 (dependent on skills and experience), potential for an annual bonus and a market-leading pension scheme, this is a hybrid role with flexibility to work from home and attend EDF offices across #London, #Gloucester and #Hove. Occasional travel will be required to support engagement with internal stakeholders, Government departments, regulators and industry forums.
Working at the centre of EDF's UK operations, you'll collaborate with senior leaders, policy specialists and commercial teams while building relationships with organisations including Government departments, Ofgem, NESO and industry bodies. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence policy outcomes, develop your expertise across key energy sector issues and contribute to some of the UK's most significant discussions around energy security, market reform, decarbonisation and nuclear generation.
At EDF, we're helping Britain achieve a secure, affordable and low-carbon energy future through our work across generation, nuclear and energy supply. We're proud to be a Sunday Times Best Places to Work Top 10 Very Big Organisation for two years running and a Highly Commended workplace for disabled employees.

- Experience working within a policy, regulatory, public affairs or similar professional environment
- Experience conducting policy analysis and developing evidence-based recommendations
- Experience developing policy positions, consultation responses, briefing papers or strategic recommendations
- Experience influencing decision-making through analysis, insight and stakeholder engagement
- Experience building and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Desirable:

- Analysing policy developments and providing evidence-based recommendations to support EDF's strategic objectives
- Leading and coordinating responses to Government consultations, industry proposals and regulatory developments
- Assessing the impact of emerging policy, legislative and regulatory changes on EDF's UK businesses
- Representing EDF in working groups, consultations, stakeholder forums and industry meetings
