Senior POMS Engineer:

Make your mark on MES solutions in life sciences
Do you want to work with Manufacturing Execution Systems in a highly regulated life sciences environment? NNIT is looking for an experienced POMS Engineer to support the delivery, configuration and validation of MES solutions for production use.
You will work closely with business and technical stakeholders across Operations, Quality, Compliance, Engineering, IT and Supply Chain. The role is based in Ireland as a hybrid opportunity, with onsite presence required when needed. The position can be offered as either contractor or permanent employment.

Practical information:

  • Location: Hybrid in Westport, Mayo, Ireland - Circa 3 days per week onsite will be essential
  • Employment type: Contractor or permanent opportunity
  • Travel: Onsite presence required as needed. some other site travel may at times be required
  • Start date: As soon as possible or by agreement

Your responsibilities:

  • Provide onsite support for MES applications, with a particular focus on POMSNet
  • Deliver new and updated MES functionality and integrations for production use
  • Support alignment of Manufacturing Information Systems with global operating specifications
  • Facilitate workshops with Business, Quality, Compliance and product subject matter experts
  • Design, author, configure, test and validate recipes and Electronic Batch Records
  • Work with integrations across SAP, databases, PLCs and other control systems
  • Coordinate and execute MES related process and equipment projects
  • Prepare technical documentation, work instructions and procedures in line with compliance requirements
  • Support validation of new processes within your area of responsibility
  • Ensure adherence to relevant corporate and divisional policies and procedures

Your qualifications and experience:

  • Level 8 degree qualification in engineering, computer science, science or a related discipline
  • Minimum five years of relevant experience from life sciences manufacturing
  • Strong experience with MES, preferably POMSNet
  • Good understanding of workflows, S95 and S88 standards
  • Experience with integration from the control layer to MES
  • Experience with Electronic Batch Records and recipe design
  • Strong C# coding skills and solid SQL database knowledge
  • Experience with validation activities and technical documentation in regulated environments
  • Knowledge of PTL, XML and Power Automate is an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across business and technical teams
