Senior Power Systems Engineer (Grid & Renewables)

What you’ll do
As a Senior Engineer in our Power Systems team based in Brisbane, you’ll contribute to projects and programs that make a real difference and be part of a team that embraces challenges, welcomes diverse ideas, and engineer solutions with people and outcomes in mind. You will:
- Lead and deliver grid connection studies for renewable energy, battery storage, transmission and utility-scale generation projects.
- Apply your expertise across power system analysis, including load flow, system strength, dynamic stability, harmonics, fault studies and EMT analysis.
- Develop and validate network and inverter-based resource models that support the successful integration of clean energy projects.
- Work closely with developers, AEMO, network providers, OEMs and project stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes.
- Contribute to some of the most technically challenging and innovative projects in the Australian market.
- Mentor and support developing engineers while continuing to grow your own technical leadership capability.
- Provide trusted technical advice that helps clients make confident decisions on major energy investments.
What you’ll bring
- Relevant qualifications in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- CPEng, RPEQ or progressing towards professional accreditation
- Demonstrated experience in power systems engineering within the National Electricity Market.
- Knowledge of grid connection processes, AEMO requirements and Generator Performance Standards.
- Experience using software such as PSCAD, PSS®E, PowerFactory, EMTP or similar.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- A collaborative approach and a passion for sharing knowledge with others.
