As our Senior PowerBI Engineer, you'll build a scalable, governed, and high-performance Power BI environment and help us have the great analytics tool as we grow to millions of investors. What you'll do As our Power BI Engineer, you'll solve the challenge of building a scalable, governed, and high-performance Power BI environment that enables fast, accurate, and self-service analytics across the business. Your focus will be Power BI architecture and analytics enablement, which means designing semantic models, optimizing data loading and report performance, and setting development standards that improve maintainability at scale. You'll work with BI, data engineering, and business stakeholders to deliver trusted analytics that support better decisions across Mintos. You will: Own Power BI architecture decisions end-to-end, including when to build unified semantic models versus purpose-built standalone reports. Design and implement high-performance data loading processes from SQL databases, APIs, and other sources, selecting the right refresh strategy for each use case. Build and maintain enterprise-grade Power BI semantic models with well-structured DAX measures, relationships, and row-level security. Create visually compelling, intuitive reports and dashboards with clear information hierarchy, navigation, layout, and accessibility. Define and enforce Power BI development standards, including visual design guidelines, naming conventions, deployment practices, and documentation. Review Power BI reports and models, diagnose performance bottlenecks, and drive improvements. Gather requirements from business stakeholders, translate them into scalable analytical solutions, and support users in understanding report logic and insights. Your professional skills and background Must-haves 5+ years of experience in BI development, with at least 3 years focused on Power BI at enterprise scale. Hands-on experience with Power BI semantic model design, DAX, report optimization, performance tuning, and report development. Ability to make architectural trade-offs between reusability, performance, maintainability, and delivery speed. Solid SQL skills, including query optimization and performance-aware data modelling. Strong sense of visual design and UX, with the ability to create reports that are clear, polished, and easy for non-technical users to navigate. Demonstrated ownership mindset, with the ability to drive initiatives independently from requirements gathering through delivery. Nice-to-haves Experience with Power BI deployment pipelines, version control, Git, and CI/CD workflows. Familiarity with cloud-based data warehouses such as AWS Redshift. Background in governed self-service analytics, enterprise BI standards, or data platform modernization. What we offer 💸Competitive salary and stock options.
