Role Overview

An established international professional services firm is seeking a Senior Practice Manager to provide leadership, structure, and operational oversight across a high-volume delivery department. This high-impact role focuses entirely on workflow efficiency, team development, and operational performance, requiring zero technical accounting background.

Reporting to senior executive leadership, you will oversee a delivery department of approximately 20 staff through a middle management layer of Team Leaders. Your core mandate is to drive operational output, establish clear performance benchmarks, resolve workflow bottlenecks, and ensure consistent adherence to service delivery deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and structure an operational delivery department of approximately 30 staff via direct management of Team Leaders.
• Oversee workload allocation, monitor team capacity, and manage operational priorities across the division.
• Track performance against operational key performance indicators and delivery deadlines to ensure consistent output.
• Identify workflow bottlenecks and operational friction, implementing process improvements to increase operational efficiency.
• Support and mentor Team Leaders in handling day-to-day performance management, conduct reviews, and staff development.
• Utilise operational workflow management software to track project throughput, output metrics, and capacity risks.
• Prepare and present operational performance, capacity risk, and productivity reporting to senior leadership.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of operational management experience.
• Proven track record of managing teams of at least 10–20+ staff through a layer of team leaders or supervisors.
• Direct operational line management experience within the professional services or financial services sector.
• Demonstrated experience in managing workload allocation, capacity planning, and strict delivery deadlines.
• Practical experience using modern workflow management software (such as Karbon, Monday.com, Jira, or Confluence).
• MBA (Master of Business Administration) is advantageous.
