Senior Pricing Analyst (Analytics): Ready to turn complex data into clear, meaningful insight that shapes pricing decisions? We’re looking for a Senior Pricing Analyst (Analytics) to join our Pricing Transformation team and help build the analytical capabilities that will support the future of Pricing at Ageas UK.

Following the recent acquisition of esure and our partnership with Saga, this is an exciting time to join us. You’ll help bring together data from our heritage businesses, reimagine how we work collectively and deliver consolidated dashboarding and analytical capabilities for the evolving needs of the Ageas UK Pricing function.

As a Senior Pricing Analyst (Analytics), you’ll play a key role in developing and maintaining a high-performing analytical dashboarding estate using Tableau and Databricks. Working closely with Pricing squads and stakeholders across the wider business, you’ll translate reporting and visualisation needs into reliable, insightful solutions that support trading, analysis and better decision-making.

Main Responsibilities as Senior Pricing Analyst (Analytics):

  • Build and evolve our Pricing Tableau and Databricks estate, supporting everything from trading performance to in-depth analysis.
  • Partner with Pricing squads to understand their visualisation needs and develop dashboards and analytical projects for regular use.
  • Maintain the data sources behind our dashboards, ensuring they remain accurate, reliable and up to date, while introducing new data points that provide richer insight.
  • Explore and introduce new analytics techniques, including automated alerting and AI practices, to drive improvements across Pricing and Underwriting.
  • Identify analytical opportunities or areas of concern and raise them with the Project Manager or wider Pricing teams for further investigation.
  • Support the continued development of Pricing processes by introducing new internal and external data across relevant products.
  • Manage and communicate your own workload effectively, while sharing knowledge and supporting smooth handovers across the team.
  • Take ownership of the accuracy and relevance of your analysis, communicating findings clearly and appropriately.
  • Bring fresh thinking, innovation and a proactive mindset, anticipating change and continually improving existing processes.
  • Build effective relationships across the Ageas and esure Pricing teams and the wider business, engaging confidently with stakeholders at all levels.

Skills and experience you need as Senior Pricing Analyst (Analytics):

  • Experience in analytics and a strong understanding of the UK Motor and Home insurance markets.
  • Degree-level education or equivalent experience, supported by strong numeracy skills.
  • Broad knowledge of insurance data and products, including how different products should be analysed.
  • Strong analytical and data visualisation skills, with experience using Tableau or Power BI.
  • Proficiency in Databricks and experience with platforms such as Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric or similar.
  • Strong SQL skills; Python capability would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of pricing reporting practices and modelling techniques.
  • Experience with Radar and Emblem packages.
  • A logical, organised approach, excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership and prioritisation skills, with the confidence to build relationships at both junior and senior levels.
  • The ability to explain technical information in clear, non-technical language and produce concise written reports.
  • A strong understanding of how business performance is measured and how analytics can support better outcomes.
