About Your New Employer

My client, a leading insurance company is recruiting a Senior Pricing Actuary. The role is based in central Dublin (Hybrid-2 days onsite and 3 days remote).

The Senior Pricing Actuary will report to the Actuarial Director and will be responsible for developing and enhancing the company's actuarial pricing capabilities. The role will support sustainable underwriting performance, member value and risk-based decision-making by developing pricing models, strengthening pricing governance and providing independent actuarial advice.

Main duties include:

• Review pricing tools completed by underwriters and provide technical price recommendations for large individual submissions.
• Monitor and report on portfolio performance and pricing adequacy.
• Develop a comprehensive pricing governance framework.
• Ensure pricing activities comply with Solvency II requirements.
• Provide insight on catastrophe and large loss exposure and concentration risk.
• Provide actuarial advice to support underwriting strategy, business planning and performance monitoring.
• Work collaboratively across Actuarial, Underwriting and Exposure Management

What skills You Need

• Qualified Actuary is essential.
• Technical knowledge of general insurance pricing techniques, preferably within Commercial Lines.
• Knowledge of the Irish insurance market and regulatory environment.

This role provides an opportunity to shape and enhance pricing capabilities across the client's portfolio. You will gain broad exposure to pricing strategy, portfolio performance, governance, exposure management and business planning. You will be able to get involved in strategic initiatives, including product development and new cover offerings.
