Your Responsibilities Will Include
Our client is an international pharmaceutical manufacturing organization operating in a highly regulated GMP environment. The company combines local site operations with global procurement structures and works with national and international suppliers across direct materials, equipment and project-related sourcing.
Requirements
- Start: ASAP
- Duration: 4–6 months, with possible extension
- Workload: 100% / full-time
- Location: Braine, Belgium
- Working model: 4 days on site, with 1 home-office day possible
- Travel: Approx. monthly travel to Strasbourg, France (1–2 days)
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Develop sourcing strategies for new site projects together with Global Category Management and internal stakeholders.
- Manage RFQs and end-to-end supplier selection processes, including bid evaluation and commercial negotiations.
- Manage sourcing activities for direct materials within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical environment.
- Negotiate and manage supply, development and equipment contracts within global procurement frameworks.
- Build and maintain relationships with national and international suppliers and monitor supplier performance.
- Use market intelligence, commodity trends and price indices to challenge and negotiate supplier price increases.
- Identify savings opportunities, supplier consolidation potential and supply-continuity risks.
- Coordinate with Global and Local Procurement and internal stakeholders on short- and mid-term demand requirements.
- Use SAP for relevant procurement activities while collaborating with the operational purchasing team responsible for transactional purchasing and master data.

Requirements
- 3–7+ years of professional experience in procurement, sourcing or strategic purchasing at specialist level.
- Proven responsibility for an annual spend of approximately EUR 10–15 million.
- Experience within pharmaceutical manufacturing or another GMP-regulated environment, ideally involving direct materials.
- Strong hands-on experience with project and/or strategic sourcing, including RFQs, bid evaluation, negotiations and supplier selection.
- Solid experience negotiating contracts within corporate or global procurement frameworks.
- Fluent French and English, both written and spoken.
- Based in Belgium or able to commute regularly to Braine.
- Availability to start immediately or at short notice.
- Willingness to travel to Strasbourg approximately once per month for 1–2 days.
- Experience collaborating with Global Category Management teams in a matrix organization.
- SAP MM / procurement user experience.
- Experience using commodity and price-index analysis in supplier negotiations.
