Our mission: eliminating every barrier to mental health.

Spring Health is a global mental health company on a mission to eliminate every barrier to mental health. We're building a world where getting support is simple, personal, and built around the person, so care can continue through every job, move, health plan, and life stage.

Our AI-native platform helps us deliver personalized support across self-guided tools, coaching, therapy, medication management, and specialty care. With outcomes independently validated by JAMA Network Open and the Validation Institute, Spring Health reaches more than 170 million people worldwide through leading employers, health plans, and partners.

As an AI-native company, we believe technology should expand the reach, quality, and humanity of care. Every Spring Health team member is expected to use AI tools thoughtfully, apply human judgment to AI outputs, and keep building AI fluency in ways that support their role and our mission.

Spring Health is looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Product Design, Member Growth, you will focus on elevating the quality, craft, and clarity of our complex care member and provider experiences while ensuring they drive meaningful business outcomes. You will work closely with PMs, Engineering, and Data Science to design and ship thoughtful, high-quality product experiences that help members and providers connect to receive and provide care.

Please note that this is a hybrid role based in New York City, with an expectation to be in the office 2–3 days per week at our 60 Madison Avenue location. Candidates must be based in the NYC metro area or able to relocate independently within 90 days of their start date. Occasional travel will be required for team on-sites.

What you’ll do:

  • Design elegant, intuitive, and high-quality product experiences across our complex care member and provider experiences.

  • Bring a strong visual point of view to improve the overall look, feel, and usability of our products.

  • Work with your pod to identify and understand user problems and translate them into clear, compelling solutions.

  • Rapidly deliver polished, production-ready designs that balance craft with speed.

  • Partner with cross-functional teammates to validate what to build and ensure solutions drive measurable impact.

  • Continuously refine and elevate the design quality of shipped experiences through iteration and attention to detail.

  • Contribute to and evolve our design system to ensure consistency, scalability, and a high bar for quality.

  • Clearly communicate design decisions and rationale through high-quality artifacts and presentations.

  • Combine empathy, curiosity, and strong design instincts to create experiences that feel simple, thoughtful, and human.

What success looks like:

  • Impact on business metrics: Drive improvements in conversion, engagement, and retention across key complex care journeys.

  • Impact on design metrics: Maintain or increase the Member Experience’s high system usability scale (SUS).

  • Elevated product quality: Noticeable improvements in visual design, usability, and overall product polish.

  • Speed with craft: Consistently deliver high-quality work quickly, balancing iteration with a strong attention to detail.

What you’ll bring:

  • At least 5 years of experience designing digital products, with a strong track record of shipping high-quality user experiences.

  • A portfolio that demonstrates strong visual design skills, attention to detail, and a refined design sensibility.

  • Experience working cross-functionally with Product Management and Engineering to bring ideas to life quickly and effectively.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate design decisions.

  • Ability to move fast without sacrificing quality—comfortable operating in an iterative, product-driven environment.

  • High bar for visual design, interaction design, and overall user experience.

  • Comfort using data and feedback to inform decisions, while maintaining strong design judgment.

  • Experience working with and contributing to design systems.

  • Expertise with Figma and prototyping and developing skillset working with AI in your design process.

  • Love for design: you care deeply about craft, details, and creating experiences that feel simple, beautiful, and well-considered. You’re not satisfied with the status quo and are always looking for ways to improve.

  • Above all, you are empathetic, thoughtful, and curious. You understand that our product can have a significant impact on real lives and you put users first in every decision you make. Embody all of Spring Health’s values.
