mobile.de is Germany’s largest vehicle marketplace, with more than 1.6 million listed cars, commercial vehicles, motorcycles, and e-bikes (annual average 2025). Both private customers and registered vehicle dealers use the platform and benefit from more than 140 million visits per month*. As a “one-stop shop,” mobile.de’s offering includes not only buying and selling, but also financing and leasing solutions. Founded in 1996, the company is a subsidiary of Adevinta, a global leader in online classified portals.
Based in Berlin-Charlottenburg, we offer a dynamic environment where growth, learning, and collaboration are at the heart of everything we do. If you are driven by an eagerness to disrupt, have a passion for collaboration, and are excited about shaping the future of mobility, we would love to hear from you.
At mobile.de, we help people find the right vehicle and move forward with confidence. You’ll join a cross-functional product team working on the search experience of Germany’s leading vehicle marketplace. Our UX team brings together designers, researchers, and content specialists to make complex journeys clear, useful, and trustworthy. Your mission is to translate customer needs and product goals into intuitive search experiences, informed by qualitative and quantitative insights.
We are looking for a Senior Product Designer (d/f/m) to own and ship end-to-end experiences for consumers on mobile.de’s vehicle search.
This is a Berlin-based, hybrid role, intended as a parental leave cover for 26 months.
- Senior-level product design experience, with a portfolio showing end-to-end ownership and the impact of your work.
- Proven background creating consumer-facing experiences within e-commerce platforms or digital marketplaces.
- Strong product thinking: able to frame problems, prioritise trade-offs, and define success metrics.
- Strong interaction and visual design skills, and the ability to produce low- and high-fidelity prototypes and high-quality UI that aligns with a design system.
- Strong design-tooling skills (e.g. Figma, including components, variants, and prototyping) and experience producing production-ready assets and specifications.
- Practical research skills: able to frame research questions, run or support usability tests, and turn insights into product improvements.
- Familiarity with analytics and experimentation; able to form hypotheses and use data to evaluate results.
- Collaboration and communication skills: able to present design decisions clearly and work effectively with cross-functional partners.
- Excellent communication skills in English; German is a plus.
- Berlin-based, willing to work in a hybrid setup with the team.
What you’ll do:
- Own the user experience for consumers around specific elements within the vehicle search through discovery, ideation, prototyping, validation, handoff to engineering, delivery, and post-launch iteration
- Work with Product, Engineering, User Research, Marketing, and Commercial teams to align on goals and translate needs into clear, feasible solutions.
- Leverage quantitative research, product analytics, A/B tests as well as qualitative research such as interviews and user testing to validate hypotheses and continuously optimize user experience.
- Create rapid prototypes and polished UI that align with the mobile.de design system and support a high-quality, premium advertising product.
- Present design rationale and strategic direction to partners and stakeholders, build alignment, and navigate trade-offs between customer experience and business needs.
- Share work with other designers, give and receive constructive feedback, and help raise design standards across the UX team.
- You have a strong grasp of how to apply AI across the design workflow. From insight synthesis and ideation to rapid prototyping and design-to-code—and use it responsibly while maintaining a high quality bar.
- Fluency with tools such as Figma, Claude, and similar tools is expected.
