About the role

Accessing prescription medication should be simple, intuitive and reassuring. However, navigating healthcare services can often involve unfamiliar processes, complex customer journeys and moments of uncertainty.

As a Senior Product Designer within our Pharma domain, you'll play a key role in shaping how customers discover, access and engage with our prescription services, with a particular focus on customer activation and retention.

You'll help customers confidently navigate their first prescription order, simplify complex healthcare journeys and create meaningful experiences that encourage customers to return when they need us again.

You'll join our multidisciplinary UX team of around 18 professionals across Product Design, UX Research and Design System Architecture, working closely with Product Management, Engineering, Analytics and business stakeholders.

This is an opportunity to take end-to-end ownership of high-impact design initiatives, influence Product strategy and help shape the future of digital healthcare for millions of customers.

About your tasks

  • Own the end-to-end Product Design process, from discovery and problem definition through ideation, prototyping, validation and delivery, ensuring solutions address genuine customer needs and deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • Improve customer activation and onboarding, identifying barriers that prevent customers from getting started with our prescription services and designing intuitive experiences that help them successfully complete their first prescription order.
  • Drive customer retention and engagement, understanding why customers return or disengage and designing meaningful experiences that support repeat prescriptions, ongoing healthcare needs and long-term customer relationships.
  • Lead customer-centred discovery and experimentation, using interviews, journey mapping, usability testing, behavioural insights and A/B testing to challenge assumptions, validate solutions and continuously improve the customer experience.
  • Translate insights into impactful design solutions, partnering with Product Management and Analytics to define hypotheses, success metrics and opportunities, balancing customer needs, business impact, technical feasibility and long-term scalability.
  • Deliver high-quality, accessible digital experiences, applying strong interaction design, visual design and UX writing principles to simplify complex healthcare journeys, including error handling, recovery states and sensitive customer interactions.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering and Product teams, involving technical stakeholders early, communicating design decisions clearly and ensuring solutions are feasible, implementation-ready and delivered to a high standard.
  • Influence Product direction and stakeholder decisions, using research, data, storytelling and clear design rationale to challenge assumptions, navigate competing priorities and build alignment across cross-functional teams.
  • Contribute to the growth and maturity of our UX team, acting as a role model for high-quality Product Design, sharing expertise, mentoring fellow designers, providing constructive feedback and helping evolve our design system and ways of working.

About You

  • Extensive experience in Product Design or UX/UI Design, with a proven track record of independently leading complex, customer-facing digital products within an established e-commerce or large-scale consumer technology organisation.
  • Strong end-to-end Product Design expertise, demonstrating the ability to frame problems, conduct discovery, explore solutions, prototype, validate and deliver high-quality experiences with measurable impact.
  • Experience improving customer activation, conversion or retention, ideally across onboarding, customer lifecycle or other complex digital journeys, supported by qualitative insights and quantitative results.
  • Excellent interaction and visual design skills, with advanced proficiency in Figma, prototyping and working with established design systems to create intuitive, accessible and scalable experiences.
  • A strong understanding of UX research and experimentation, including usability testing, customer interviews, journey mapping, behavioural analysis and A/B testing to inform design decisions.
  • A data-informed approach to Product Design, comfortable collaborating with Product Analysts to interpret conversion funnels, customer cohorts, behavioural insights and experimentation results.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to challenge assumptions, explain design decisions and influence Product Managers, Engineers and senior business stakeholders.
  • A collaborative and proactive mindset, with a passion for raising design standards, sharing knowledge and supporting the development of other designers within a multidisciplinary UX team.
  • Native-level German language proficiency, both written and spoken, enabling you to conduct nuanced customer research and design clear, sensitive German-language experiences.
  • Fluent professional English for collaboration within our international organisation.

Nice to have

  • Experience within e-health, e-pharmacy, telemedicine or other regulated digital consumer services.
  • Familiarity with German prescription and e-prescription journeys.
  • Experience connecting digital product experiences with CRM, lifecycle communications, personalisation or customer reactivation.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices, such as WCAG 2.2.
  • Experience using AI-assisted design tools to accelerate ideation, prototyping, research or design workflows, while maintaining strong design judgement and responsible data handling.

Why join us?

At Redcare Pharmacy, your research will help shape how people access and manage their healthcare, making important customer journeys easier, clearer and more accessible.

You'll have the opportunity to influence both immediate product improvements and the longer-term direction of our Pharma experience, working alongside multidisciplinary teams in a growing, technology-driven organisation.

We value curiosity, methodological expertise and a strong customer focus, and we're looking for someone who can challenge existing thinking and help us make better product decisions through meaningful research.
