About Havora
Havora is building a modern relationship and marriage-intent platform designed to help people discover meaningful connections based on shared values, compatibility, relationship intentions, and long-term goals.
We are currently bootstrapped and at an early stage, building our founding team with people who believe in what we are creating and want to take meaningful ownership in bringing Havora from 0 → 1.
The Role
We are looking for a Senior Product Designer with 7–8+ years of relevant product/UI/UX experience to take ownership of Havora’s user experience and help us build a product that feels genuinely different from existing dating and relationship platforms.
We are looking for someone who understands that great product design is not simply about making beautiful interfaces. You should be able to understand users, identify their problems, conduct meaningful research, turn insights into product decisions, and create simple, intuitive, and memorable experiences.
You will work closely with the Founder, Product Managers, Engineers, and other members of the team to take ideas from problem discovery → research → user flows → wireframes → prototypes → final UI → implementation.
What You’ll Do
* Own and shape Havora’s overall product experience
* Conduct user research and translate insights into actionable product decisions
* Understand user pain points, motivations, behaviours, and needs
* Design clear and intuitive user journeys and flows
* Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity interfaces
* Develop and maintain Havora’s design system
* Design mobile-first experiences across key parts of the product
* Work closely with Product and Engineering throughout development
* Validate designs through user feedback and testing
* Identify usability issues and continuously improve the product
* Ensure consistency, accessibility, and quality across the experience
* Challenge assumptions and contribute to product strategy when necessary
* Help establish the design standards and culture for Havora as we grow
What We’re Looking For
* 7–8+ years of relevant Product Design / UI/UX experience
* Proven experience designing and shipping real digital products
* Experience working in a startup or fast-moving product environment
* Strong understanding of user research and user-centred design
* Ability to translate complex problems into simple user experiences
* Strong understanding of user journeys, flows, information architecture, interaction design, and visual design
* Excellent Figma skills
* Comfortable with modern design, research, prototyping, collaboration, and developer-handoff tools
* Strong understanding of responsive and mobile-first design
* Experience creating and maintaining design systems
* Strong portfolio demonstrating real products and measurable design decisions
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills
* Ability to work independently and take ownership
* Strong product thinking and attention to detail
Portfolio Requirement
A strong portfolio is mandatory.
Your portfolio should demonstrate:
* Real products you have designed
* Your design process and reasoning
* User research and insights
* User journeys and flows
* Wireframes and prototypes
* Final product designs
* Your specific contribution to each project
* Products that have actually been built or launched, where possible
We are interested in how you solve problems, not just how polished your final screens look.
Volunteer Role & Future Opportunity
This is a volunteer, unpaid role. Havora is currently bootstrapped and does not offer a salary, stipend, or other guaranteed compensation for this position.
The expected time commitment and responsibilities will be agreed upon in advance. Volunteers may end their involvement at any time, subject to reasonable handover of ongoing work.
Future paid work may become available if Havora’s funding, revenue, and business needs allow. Any future role, compensation, title, or leadership opportunity would be considered separately and is not guaranteed.
Equity is not included automatically and is not guaranteed. Any equity or other incentive would require separate written approval and a formal agreement; no verbal or informal statement creates an entitlement to equity.
