Senior Product Development - 16 Month Contract

This Senior Product Development role is responsible for developing and supporting the new product development process through to launch, on a portfolio of products that are both NPD and Foods, and highly regulated by Health Canada. Key responsibilities include supporting Genuine Health’s strategy for NPD, plus taking the lead on all aspects of product development as outlined in our Monday’s process. One examples is managing the completion of all new product launch stage gate requirements by liaising with, and coordinating, internal and external partners. The role must also support cross functional teams by being a subject matter expert on Genuine Health’s products. Position Responsibilities: Work directly with the Director of Insights and Innovation on strategic development of company objectives. Coordinate the commercialization of new products, or updates to existing products, including: Develop new products in accordance with company objectives and Heath Canada regulations Manage and ensure adherence to the timelines and process outlined in Monday’s . Lead status meetings with key stakeholders to ensure project remains on track Coordinate QA document collection for new products and certifications Develop Product Packages for all new and existing products that have both internal and external sections for supporting the strategic position and communication of our products, which also includes a full competitive review. Coordinate taste tests/samples and consolidating and communicating feedback Provide information to marketing for the development of selling tools (product information for sell sheets, technical training, sample coordination etc.) Oversee certifications and annual renewals Environment, Pace, and Challenges: Tight deadlines and multiple competing priorities Position Specific Behaviours: Ability to adapt to changing conditions and processes Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple deadlines Ambitious and goal-oriented Analytical nature with the ability to critically evaluate obstacles Patient, understanding, and responsive Fact-driven with the ability to think logically, and less emotionally Ability to work independently and take initiative Qualifications and Skills: University Degree and/or master’s in nutrition or health sciences preferred 2-5 years of experience in a related field Working knowledge of Heath Canada Regulations Strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize multiple projects is a requirement Detail-oriented; accuracy is critical Strong project management and organizational skills Ability to be flexible and change priorities quickly Ability to grasp product knowledge quickly and read technical documents and manuals Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficient in MS Office with ability to learn in-house systems French speaking is a bonus We thank all applicants for their interest; however only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
