We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Product Engineer Fellow – Palantir / AI (FDE) Platform. This role sits at the intersection of Product, Design, and Software Engineering, and is responsible for design, development, deployment and operation of software engineered solutions at scale. This role serves as a key technical leader across multiple product teams building within and outside of Palantir foundry - turning insights, data and software into reliable, observable, and secure products.
In this role you will work following a product-led and agile driven approach, including close collaboration with product owner, data scientists, other software engineers, and cross-functional team members/ stakeholders.

This position will be based in Lisle, Illinois Monday through Thursday with hybrid in-office and remote work flexibility.
Responsibilities
- Define and own the design and system architecture for applications built within and outside the Palantir Foundry ecosystem
- Lead the design and development of shareable, scalable, resilient, and sustainable features and solutions.
- Ability to write and review production code (hands on) with ownership for resting strategy of data, application, API and AI behaviors.
- Drive technical decision-making, establish and/or contribute to software and platform engineering standards
- Architect and deliver integrated solutions and tools in support of the commercial vehicle industry (B2X), across the end-to-end customer lifecycle, from sales, onboarding, through to service execution and end-of-life journey stages.
- Guide development of solutions using Foundry, Marketplace, OSDK, and custom applications. Ability to identify when Foundry is appropriate vs other services.
- Lead the adoption and implementation of Foundry AI capabilities (AIP, LLMs)
- Partner with product, commercial, UX, and engineering team members to align on technical strategy with business goals
- Support user adoption and workflow design, not just pipeline construction and software engineering
- Contribute to domain driven design and data domain development.
- Mentor and guide engineers, acting as a technical authority and thought leader
- Own what you build – provide production support, in the form of operational readiness, maintaining quality standards around releases, incidents, observability, support handoff, and technical lifecycle management.
What We’re Looking For
- Recent Software Engineering experience building and delivering enterprise ready at scale data + digital products.
- Hands-on experience with common software programming languages, environments and development tools (.Net, C#, SQL, Python, Java, JS/React, etc.).
- Software engineering solutions that are API-first and AI driven capable architectures, inc. REST/GraphQL, Event APIs, etc.
- Deep expertise in Palantir Foundry, including architecture and large-scale implementations.
- Strong data modeling and ontology-design judgement. Experience with Marketplace, OSDK, and building complex Foundry applications.
- Proven ability to define architecture and lead technical strategy across multiple teams.
- Operational readiness with products at scale including security, automation, CI/CD, DevOps, Performance and multi-cloud-native experiences.
- Demonstrated ability to influence, lead, and drive outcomes in complex environments.
- Highly proactive, ownership-driven mindset with the ability to operate in ambiguity. Ability to demonstrate personally owned outcomes.
- Bring a passion for working to understand needs and challenges with a customer-centric mindset. Have prior experience and skills in gathering and analyzing Voice of Customer, rapid innovation and design-thinking.
- Demonstrate initiative, with the ability to work independently when needed, and pragmatic problem-solving abilities. Experience following a strong analytic approach to evaluate complex choices, clearly frame decisions, identify issues, and propose effective solutions and decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with users, vendors, and other IT professionals. Ability to translate complex technical topics into easy-to-understand information with a strong attention to detail.

- Bachelor's degree and at least 9 years of Information Technology or IT architecture experience
- At least 2 years of lead experience

- Master's degree and at least 5 years of Information Technology or IT architecture experience
- At least 2 years of lead experience

- At least 12 years of Information Technology or IT architecture experience
- At least 2 years of lead experience

Desired Skills
- Demonstrated experience building and deploying software engineered solutions, including API-first, AI capable systems, using standard engineering patterns (event driven, integrations, etc.) and development best practices
- Demonstrated experience of progressive responsibility delivering technical solutions in Product-led teams, or similar role using an Agile/ Scrum environment. Comfort with modern product practices, including MVP definition, experimentation, metrics, feedback loops, and iterative delivery.
