Ready to Help Shape the Future of Legal Tech?!
At Litera, we don’t just build software, we transform how the world’s top law firms operate. Every day, we Raise The Bar™ for what’s possible through AI, innovation, and solutions that power millions of legal professionals worldwide. If you’re energized by scale, real impact, and meaningful challenges, you’ll feel right at home here.
Where You’ll Work
Hybrid: This is a hybrid role based in Toronto or Raleigh with the expectation to be in office at least 3 days a week for collaboration and connection.
Why this Role Matters
As a Senior Product Manager for the Firm Intelligence Platform, you’ll own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the foundational layer that turns the data flowing through a law firm’s work into intelligence that Litera’s products and customers can act on with confidence. As a senior individual contributor, you’ll lead through technical credibility and influence — partnering with Engineering, Architecture, and cross-functional leaders to build an AI-first foundation of data, APIs, and shared services, including MCP services, that serves AI agents, people, and traditional integrations alike. This is a zero-to-one platform opportunity with high visibility across the organization, where your ability to bridge deep technical fluency with customer insight and business strategy will directly shape Litera’s next generation of products. If you’re energized by defining how an entire product ecosystem consumes and acts on intelligence, this is your role.
What You’ll Deliver
• Own the vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for the Firm Intelligence Platform — driving adoption, customer impact, and business outcomes across Litera’s product portfolio.
• Define platform architecture requirements with Engineering and Architecture — including data models, ingestion patterns, APIs, extensibility, security, and scalability — and decide where AI capabilities and MCP services are the right way to deliver platform value versus traditional APIs and integrations.
• Engage directly with law firm leaders, practitioners, and IT stakeholders to deeply understand how firms use data and intelligence — translating those needs into clear personas, use cases, and prioritized requirements.
• Make and document build-versus-buy, sequencing, and trade-off decisions that balance near-term customer value with long-term platform health.
• Define success metrics, instrument the platform for adoption and performance, and use data to continuously adjust priorities and demonstrate value.
• Partner with Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success on positioning, packaging, and launch — equipping them with clear narratives for both technical and executive audiences.
Litera is committed to providing reasonable accommodations throughout the recruitment process. If you need an accommodation, please let us know and we’ll work with you to meet your needs.
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves:
• 5+ years of product management experience in B2B SaaS, including at least 3 years owning platform, data, or infrastructure products.
• Proven experience building platform products and defining platform architecture — such as data platforms, API and integration layers, or shared services consumed by multiple products or teams.
• Working knowledge of AI and generative AI (LLMs, retrieval, agents), including practical trade-offs in quality, cost, latency, and trust, with an AI-first mindset for designing capabilities usable by agents, people, and conventional integrations.
• Understanding of Model Context Protocol (MCP) and agent-facing service design, including when to use MCP tools and resources versus traditional APIs.
• Strong technical fluency with engineers and architects on data modeling, APIs, cloud-native and service-oriented architectures, and security and multi-tenancy.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams through influence, without direct authority.
Nice to Haves:
• Hands-on experience shipping AI/ML products (such as search, retrieval, or generative AI) or defining MCP servers and tools in production.
• Experience in legal technology, professional services, or enterprise environments with complex, document-heavy, data-heavy workflows.
• Background as a software engineer, data engineer, or solutions architect, with a track record of taking products from zero to one.
• Familiarity with data security, privacy, and compliance requirements in regulated industries, including law firm confidentiality expectations.
Great candidates don’t check every box. If this role excites you but your experience doesn’t perfectly match every qualification, we encourage you to apply. You may be just the right person for this or another role at Litera.
What You’ll Experience
• A team that shows up. Work alongside people who collaborate, support one another, and lead with integrity.
• Global Reach. Partner with teams around the world to solve complex challenges that matter.
• Real opportunity for growth. Expand your impact through meaningful stretch opportunities, visibility and career development.
• AI-driven innovation. Work at the intersection of legal technology, customer outcomes, and cutting-edge AI.
Pay Transparency for Ontario Applicants
The base salary range for this role is $120,000 to $150,000 CAD. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, education, and other relevant qualifications. This role is also eligible to earn commission based on performance. In addition to base salary, Litera offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, retirement savings plan with company match, and incentive and recognition programs.
