Position Description The Senior Product Manager is responsible for defining priorities for our mobile product , driving continuous discovery, and ensuring the delivery team is focused on the highest-value work aligned to customer needs and product direction. Because mobile is one part of a broader platform, the role is also accountable for keeping the mobile strategy aligned with Deque's overall platform product strategy and for ensuring that cross-product customer concerns remain consistent across the axe portfolio. This role serves as the connective point between customers, Product Development, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing. The ideal candidate combines strong customer empathy, situational awareness, and execution discipline in a fast-paced B2B SaaS environment, with a track record of taking ideas from concept to launch. Primary Responsibilities Continuously engage with customers, users, Sales, Support, and Customer Success to be the embodiment of the product's target market for the rest of the development team. Ensure the development team is clear on the highest-priority work to be done, and that it's clearly defined against the product vision, competitive landscape, and customer needs. Provide Product Marketing Management with the information they need to effectively enable sales, customer success, and channel partners. Represent the product internally and externally to customers, Sales, and Customer Success. Act as the voice of the customer and target market for Product Development and cross-functional teams. Work closely with Engineering Managers to ensure the team is effective at iterating quickly to make the product more competitive and valuable. Define and communicate product requirements, priorities, business outcomes, and release objectives. Partner closely with Product Development throughout discovery, validation, delivery, and iteration cycles. Collaborate with Product Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to support positioning, enablement, and launches. Monitor customer feedback and product performance to inform prioritization. Communicate priorities and progress clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Create the quarterly product roadmap proposals, run the meeting with the stakeholders to finalize the quarterly roadmap, be accountable for the roadmap delivery Work with the product owner and senior technical staff to prioritize work for the team(s) from sprint-to-sprint. Be accountable for the priorities. Manage product owner(s) and/or junior product manager(s): set clear expectations, coach to high performance, and address underperformance directly Work with the engineering manager(s) on staffing and managing the technical team members Contribute to the advancement and improvement of the product management discipline at Deque. Give input into the platform product strategy and keep the mobile product strategy aligned with it, including keeping cross-customer concerns (for example, analysis results) consistent across products. Create and maintain the competitive radar-scope for mobile, propose and maintain market-traction metrics, and regularly form and share a view of where the market is heading, using it to inform strategy and prioritization. Present to industry analysts and represent Deque and the mobile product as the leader in the space. Enable the organization: train Sales and Solutions Engineers on value, competitive positioning, features and demos; train Product Success (Technical Solutions Architects and Implementation Engineers) on successful rollout; and, with the Product Owner, train Help Desk Engineers on installation and support. Run the product forum for the mobile product. Create and maintain product Intranet content and contribute to sales collateral. Advocate for and implement marketing and sales campaigns that improve sales of the product, and support Sales in large sales situations and Services in large rollouts. Understand team efficiency relative to industry and company benchmarks, work with Engineering Managers and Product Owners to measure and improve team effectiveness, and foster a culture of team output over individual output. Form direct relationships with users at lead customers. Requirements 4–7 years of product management experience in a B2B SaaS environment, with a proven track record of successful product launches. Experience partnering with direct sales organizations, including Account Executives and Solutions Engineers. Worked closely with Product Development team members as primary users/stakeholders. Experience balancing customer demands, competitive pressures, and the need to progress toward product vision. Experience articulating the value proposition of the product to both internal and external audiences. Comfortable identifying and tracking competitive products and market positioning. History of direct customer engagement, including discovery conversations and product feedback sessions. Experience working at a fully remote company is a plus.
